Our dishwasher wasn't draining and we filed a claim to American Home Shield. I filled out the form online and the website was fine. I've used it before. The contractor texted me and when he came, we didn't talk because he was wearing a mask and we were wearing masks too. I let him in, showed him to the kitchen and I went to the other room. American Home Shield sent somebody from PHD Mechanical for a plumbing issue. The first time they came out there they thought it was one thing, but as soon as the water came gushing out they knew it was something else and they did a phenomenal job. There were a number of times they were here, and I really, really like them. They explained a lot to me.
A to Z Electric came out and the fix was actually just the little reset thing on the outlet in the garage. I didn’t realize one was even out there. I knew that they have the little reset buttons in the bathrooms because it’s close to water. But in the garage, I was thinking the outlet was way at the top of the ceiling, which I couldn’t see it. I’ve seen pros and cons for American Home Shield. There are some people that hate them, but in my personal situation, it worked. I just bought this house in January and I had an outside spicket on the back side of my house. The outside spicket was working and it has a shutoff inside but when I turned the water on on the spicket out front, there was no water flow.I made a service order and the gentleman from All Clear Plumbing & Drain showed up early and looked at the problem. For some reason, whatever temperature I put the AC on, it went back to a lot higher than it was. I left a message for The Right Guys and then the following day, they called me and told me thee times a person was gonna come. They came between those hours that were promised and took care of the problem. They were there for about 20 minutes and they fixed it. The result was quite good and I was quite satisfied.
I submit claims online and by phone and both give good service, but I like to ask for a specific contractor, United Air Temp, and I have to do that over the phone. It would be nice if I could do that online. Other than that, every contractor Home Shield has sent out has been good and everything’s been good every time I’ve had a claim.
AHS is satisfactory. Their rep was courteous and professional. The contractor they sent was very good.
We got a report that our pool filter was leaking. We needed a running pool but the pool guy got shocked when he went to turn on the pool. It was easy and quick to submit the claim online. I like being able to click and file a claim and that gets sent right over to a contractor rather than having to wait to talk to a representative, report what's going on, and then them independently calling the contractor. I went online when I noticed that my water wasn't coming out of the filter and the ice maker was not working. Submitting the claim was easy to do. The contractor sent me a text message and said that he would call me the next day to schedule. He came out a couple of weeks ago and told me that my refrigerator was fixed, but it wasn't. He came today and said that he had to order several parts for it because the temperature was 20 degrees. He was really nice and helpful though.
