I had the refrigerator's dial all the way up. It kept getting warmer and warmer. It just was slowly dying and the icemaker wasn’t working. I put in a claim online for the air conditioner unit and then they called and submitted the order. The website was very user-friendly. I submitted the claim on the weekend so I had to wait the whole weekend for it to come through. It took three days for the contractor to come out and they were wonderful. We got a new air conditioner and then it broke again and we got a new one.American Home Shield is a typical warranty company. Last year, when I put in the claim for our air conditioner, the company that came was very good at communicating a lot. This time, the air conditioner wasn't blowing cold air and the AHS website responded in the same way. It immediately said that somebody would get in touch with me and the contractor did. A decent company providing a good service at a reasonable price
Fast, reliable service...Called AHS at 8am and my a/c was ready by 2:00pm
I rent the house out to two tenants and they informed me that they had tried turning the aircon. It was blowing out air but it wasn't hot or cold air. I made sure they had it on the cool setting before I made a claim. I filed it online on American Shield website, the contractor called the same night and they were out there the next day around 2:00 or 3:00. My tenant said that the guy was there for a couple of hours and fixed the problem, and it worked after he left. It was overall a great experience.
We had a problem with the ice maker on our home fridg. We called American Home Shield, a repairman called within a day, and was in our home within just a few days. The problem was diagnosed, and corrected within a short period of time. The ice maker is now above and beyond the call of duty, where I actually had to turn it off, as we weren't using ice fast enough. Not now, at least, I do expect that will change as the summer wears on.
This was our first time using American Home Shield. The claim was assigned to a plumbing company right away. The only reason this wasn't 5 stars across the board was because the first contractor was horrible to deal with and wouldn't return calls. I contacted American Home Shield and asked for a new contractor. Once that was done the hot water heater was replaced in less than 24 hours. American Home was quick to step in and make things right.
