I like American Home Shield very much. I don’t have to use them that often, thankfully, but it’s nice. I pay for the monthly fee for a reason. When stuff unexpectedly happens, I can tell them to have their contractor come on out. I also find filing claims easy to do. I just do it online, hit the submit button, and it is done. When my garbage disposal had been leaking water, I submitted the claim on a Sunday so I didn’t receive the schedule request until business hours on Monday. They open at 8:00 and I received it at 8:17.We... read more

I’ve been with American Home Shield and I do my claims online. I usually go to my account and there is a request which is very clear. If it was for the AC, it’s either upstairs, downstairs and what kind of problem. Then, they would assign the contractor in the neighborhood. They will contact me, tell me when they are on their way and fix the timing. Then, they would come and fix it. The contractors who came out were on time, nice, very professional and helpful. I was 100% satisfied.

I have always had a good experience with AHS. They recently replaced my fridge of 16 years old-nothing fancy but its a fridge that doesn't leak! :-)

My appliance wasn’t draining. I went online and filed the claim. Sears contacted us and let us know that they were gonna be coming out. The quality of work the tech did was great. They had to come back out again once the parts were delivered. Now I don’t have to wash my dishes by hand. The whole experience was very good.

The air wasn't blowing cool upstairs. R Harris A/C & Heating came out and we didn't want anybody in the house with the COVID stuff going on. They did everything from outside and they did a great job. Previously, we had issues with the water heater people that AHS was using. The vendor was sloppy, lazy, and did not fix the problem. Then, it created more problems down the line. But AHS resolved the issue. They listened so I appreciated that. We had to pay a decent amount of money 'cause we had to pay for multiple entries. But ... read more

Everything went great with Quandt Plumbing. The tech assessed the problem very quickly, got the Roto-Rooter and then proceeded to fix the issue. So then we were able to bring in a company to sterilize and clean everything. We had to pay Quandt 75 bucks which was our standard fee and that was great. That saved us a bunch of money. Our home is over 90 years old and we've had American Home Shield for years.

I've had American Home Shield for eight years and everything is good. They call and they set up things right away. Something broke on the heater and the technician from Rosenthal did a good job on it. He knew exactly what it was and went right to it. He was in and out for a few minutes. With the last claim that I had, the guy said that the security could be fixed but he moved something around up there but he said that they wouldn't fix stuff outside.I told the technician that AHS told me that they will fix the security 'caus... read more

AHS was included as part of my purchase of a vacation home and I've been really happy with it so far. Early on, I called in to have some locks changed. I wasn’t really familiar with the process and that ended up never happening. I paid the $75 but I never connected with the ultimate contractor. Once AHS figured that out, they refunded the $75. That was my fault, but they were really good to deal with even in that situation. A couple of weeks ago, a plumbing company came out to replace a water heater. Then a couple of days ag... read more

Everything was good when I had my heat-AC unit replaced. Freon is still made for the older stuff, but I was told that it was more expensive than the newer stuff. It also was explained to me that if something happened with the outside unit and AHS replaced it, unless they could find a unit that had the old Freon, the entire system, including the inside units, would have to get replaced because of the new stuff they were using. But I would think something like that could probably be mitigated. AHS has helped ease my mind if an... read more
