Technician was very professional, arrived on time and completed the repair efficiently. I would highly recommend him and I would request if there was a need for another repair.
If someone recently subscribed to American Home Shield's service within five years, AHS doesn't know the status of the home. But it's different if someone has been with them for a period of time and there should be some consideration for the fee each time long time customers have a call. Our air conditioner had stopped working. Nothing was coming on at all. I filed the claim through the website and Comfort King was able to come out the next day. They were on time too. We actually had to be at work and since it was gonna take us about 20 minutes to get there from where we worked, the technician called us when he was headed that way and we met him there. We’ve had American Home Shield for several years. They have always come through when we needed them. The hot water went out late Friday. We put in a work request. The service company called Monday made appointment for that day. Tuesday we received a call from AHS with all the particulars and we had a new hot water heater Wednesday. They took care of everything. I paid my deductible cost and other uncovered costs and that was my only effort. The service companies they use are always reliable and dependable. 3 out of 5 Items have either been repaired or replaced. Very thankful for replacements of our items the other two repairs jobs could've been done a lot better. But still grateful to have home shield warranty.
My garbage disposal had a cracked housing because when I turn it on and water is going through it, it would come out the side of the garbage disposal. I sent a claim in with Home Shield online and I called and checked on it later. I called on a Saturday and the contractor came out on Monday. The tech was good and everything went fine. I've had a few claims with Home Shield and if I didn't have it, it would cost me a lot of money if something goes out. It's well worth it. AM PM Plumbing was great. They got out here the next day. It was a relatively simple problem. He was able to get it taken care of and he was here less than 45 minutes. AHS has responded to our claims very well. We haven’t had any problems with them. Last year, we've had a couple of more claims than usual, but not big things. So, we were grateful for that.
Our AC unit would turn on in the house, but it wouldn’t turn on outside at the actual unit. We didn’t know what the issue was and had someone come out and look. The contractor who came was wonderful, very respectful and professional. He didn’t just show up, fix it, and leave. He explained what happened so that we would know what to watch for, in case it happened again. The issue ended up being the capacitor wasn’t kicking on and he had to fix that.
