We have been having trouble with our garbage disposal for several months. I put in a claim on a holiday weekend but was able to get service at least by the next Tuesday, which was fine because it wasn't an emergency. The company was professional and very pleasant to work with. The technician arrived when he said he would and even called about 30 minutes before to let me know he was on his way. He was knowledgeable and got the job done quickly. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
The contractor that was sent by American Home Shield fixed the electrical problem. In the future, if I need any electrical help, I want them to send out that same contractor. Everything with my claim was fine.
I was with AHS a long time ago, but then I was on a budget and had to cancel. I then signed up again. The tech who came for the dryer and dishwasher was very helpful. Something was broken inside the dryer. The valve was loose and he was able to repair that. But he had to order parts for the dishwasher and scheduled to come back.
My sister recommended American Home Shield to me and their service is very good. Every time that I call and need something, they send people as fast as they can and the people come immediately. Sometimes, the people that perform the service go faster than the other ones but that's something that AHS cannot control.
I have a Whirlpool refrigerator and it has a built-in icemaker with a dispenser for water and ice. There was no water that was going into the ice maker to freeze the ice and then spit the ice back out into the bin. The whole machine was malfunctioning and I needed somebody to come out and tell me why. American Home Shield has been really easy to work with. We were very satisfied with the replacement of our pool filter. The technician was very polite and professional. I was also pleased with the level of contact received notifying me of the status of my scheduled appointment.
My first claim was in February when we found that the panel in front of the oven wasn’t working correctly. We couldn't put in the number 3 after it warmed up a little bit, which was quite annoying when you’re trying to cook something in it. We got a callout and the guy came out and ordered the panel. I had been with the same company for 15 years and they suddenly went out of business. They were really good. I was looking for other companies and I did a little homework. The first one was Choice Warranty, which was awful. When the year came, I looked into my second choice, which should’ve been my first, American Home Shield. I just renewed it for the second year.
