They did not take care of my needs; did not listen to me and I had to pay out of pocket for a repair that they should have covered.
You pay for someone to come out to look at what is wrong and when they tell you, the home warranty finds a way to get out of paying for it. So what is the home warranty good for if they find a way out of paying.

My summer experience with our air condition unit took more than 4 months to repair. We ended paying because it was a heat wave and dangerous to our after staying in hotels we couldn't afford no more for two months for our entire family. We paid for the unit and the contractor replaced it sent in the proof they refused to reimburse us our money and haven't return no calls till this day.

Have had an open case for about 8 weeks for a stove that does not work. AHS will not work with us. Several very long phone calls later, we are without a stove and all AHS can say is wait to see if repair company responds

I think the lack of coverage is hidden behind vague verbiage with the contact. Most contractors I had assigned were trying to uncharge me. I would never renew this contract.

Electrician came out claimed breaker box just had dirt and turned back on. Two days later fuse went out felt he didn't do a thorough job could have been fixed first time. We ended up paying out of pocket to get it fixed right away instead of growing through an approval process. Very disappointed first time we used Home Shield for a service call.

The AC repairman said my evap coil was 100% clogged with mold & mildew. He looked at the coil, ran no test, didn't touch the coil and didn't reassemble the air handler. AHS declined the claim based on what was an opinion, they never verified it was & mildew. Then I get a quote of $1200 to clean the coil. When I looked up 2022 rates for coil clean it said one should expect to pay anywhere form $95 - $400 depending on the accessibility.
