Time after time claims are denied and this last one was the straw that broke the camels back. It was a simple toilet fix and the claim was denied , so very little value for a service that I pay monthly for and a service call fee. It's a waste of money and time.

My experience with AHS was very unpleasant. Poor customer service experience. Even with the best plan the out of pocket expenses made it where I would have been better off not going through the warranty and being able to pick my own contractor. Often the contractor available was not able to fix the issues and I still had to hire someone else. It was not worth the time and money or stress. Couldn’t recommend AHS to anyone!

The worst company I have ever dealt with. We had a home warranty and our air conditioner quit working. Their tech came out and said it needed replaced told us he would not be able to do it for a week. Then disappeared. Never even heard back. We called the tech, we called the company and they couldn’t find anyone else to help us . We got outside authorization, but the company wouldn’t deal directly with AHS for a variety of reasons. Two years in a row I expressly called one month before my renewal date and gave instruction that I wished to renew on the date for a ONE YEAR subscription and not monthly. On both occassions I was told it had been renewed on a monthly basis. It literally hour on the phone to get corrected. At the end of every call I am asked to submit an evaluation but am only asked about the representative not the poorly designed robo-answering front end of flaws in the program itself. Main problem is follow up, very , very,poor, 1. you should have a name, number and email that needs to be supplied for each service call ( or confirm what you have on file) so you contaxct the correct people, I have many tenants in properties 2. Follow up, never see an invoice or Receipt when work is done 3. Buy outs or longer repairs or parts, etc , very poor to follow up and to explain options. 4. The price per month and per visit has increased by $30 I’m paying over $100 a month, without using your services. I have two accounts with you. One is my house on Farrar St. and the other is my son’s home (he is disabled). I have been with American Home Shield for a long time, but the price is caused me to look for another company.
