1 month in February w/o hear before my heater was fixed. Days this June w/o AC and still waiting. I am a customer w/AHS for over 15 years. I will cancel my contract my also after service calls, my monthly contract goes up by at least 10%. I am paying now $90 monthly and each service call I pay $75. Customer Service folks are rude and nasty. The barely speak English and extremely hard to understand .. AHS orders parts for fixes with no ETA. My air conditioner was not cooling properly & a contractor was sent out. He concluded that a new condenser coil was needed. AHS gave me the runaround about the order placement. Needless to say, 20 plus days later in 100 degree temperatures, I called again to check on the part order. The agent told me that the order hadn't been placed yet & she could arrange it so AHS could just send me a check to make things whole. Refrigerator could no longer be fixed per their repair company.They are still giving me the run around and have NOT reimbursed me for the new one that was delivered. Until this I was very happy with them.

Electrician and appliance, repair technicians difficult to schedule for company. They request homeowner find technicians and then request technicians to call ahs with diagnosis before repair.

I paid my 100$ deductible to have a plumber come to fix my toilet only to tell me its not covered.

It is impossible to reach anyone by phone.
I feel like they don't act until I pester them multiple times with follow up calls. They are somewhat responsive on phone, and reach out to vendors, but in 2 particular cases in has amounted to nothing happening which is frustrating as a customer. Right now I don't think I will be renewing next year and wondering if I should even continue.

Horrible experience. We had a gas leak (a major concern!) and needed to find the source. The contractors told Home Shield what needed to be done and they did not wanted to fix my the problem. Instead, they kept saying that it the issue was pre-existing and that we would need to pay another $125 to get another opinion. This happened twice.
