Their People do not speak good clear English & do not comprehend well.

Rates verses services .. this year alone I've had AHS services and I've haven't been able to keep my Ac unit running.. not to mention the renewal fee change I feel like I can find a cheaper service

They wrongfully denied my claim. They initially repaired my water heater. When the repair didn't work and they determined it had to be replaced they denied it saying there was pre-existing damage. They only decided to deny it once the more expensive claim was filed. Seems exceptionally dishonest. I would not recommend them to anybody.

So many problems. The contractors they use are not the best. If you have a problem with a contractor, good luck with getting your money back or with AHS listening to you. Be prepared to wait for appliances to be replaced. We waited almost 6 weeks for our hot water heater to be replaced. Don't expect customer service to know what's going on. While they are kind, if you have any kind of issue with the service, don't expect them to know how to help. You also may wait 2 hours on a phone call just to be hung up on. Coverage started late, wasn't available when I needed emergency service in my new home. Fight to get coverage to start LATE but it sure ended right at the date it wasn't active 1 year later. Difficult to get answers from overseas call centers. Overcharged, difficult to get refund. Appliance program was worthless as they had no brands I actually wanted to purchase. Not worth the money, glad the seller paid and not me.

My ac unit has been out of service for almost 1 month, AHS ordered the condenser which the contractor received, but we found out after waiting for a week or so that the evaporator coil was not put on order as previously though, after AHS finally put the item on order, now we are being told that they are trying to find a supplier for the part. The problem is why this company cannot find this part.

Contractor took 3 weeks to replace faucet. No one from American Homesheild contacted or speed up the process.

1 month with no air conditioning. Still no part. They continually punt the ball to the right.
