We have had several appointments set up with various companies for different issues. To date we have had a horrible experience with Home Choice Services out of Daytona Beach, Fl. They have missed appointments and when the tech finally showed up he did not have any parts to fix the garbage disposal. The young man was not a very happy person. When my wife called to complain she was told that the people at Home Choice advised that the problem was fixed. We paid the $100 and still have not received any help from the company. We have generally had good experiences but this most recent interaction was a bit problematic and we ended up with a bill for something that we should not have had and it took a few weeks to resolve it. Also, while it's wonderful to have employees of all backgrounds, more and more often when we call in, there are very nice and professional reps, but fairly often, they are very, very hard to understand because they speak with a very heavy accent and speak very quickly. In the last year I have had to replace both my HVAC and water heater. I've been a AHS customer for 29 years. I paid out $8300 for AC replacement and $1400 for water heater. Through numerous attempts to determine what AHS paid on these I have been unsuccessful. My contract renews on 6/2/23. The monthly cost has gone up 50% in the last 2 years from $61.99 to 93.99. All of this causes me to question the value of using AHS.

The way AHS contract out, does not give us transparency, as clients the way to check revise and protest when the contractors, try (most of the times) take advantage to generate additional work, that normally is out of contract, or they do argue that is out of code.

I think coverage is adequate in most cases except for your coverage of refrigerant for air conditioning. You allow $10.00 per unit. The charge is actually $175.00 per unit. I believe you should allow more. I happened to need 3.5 units.

Both times I used AHS service providers their service was less than adequate. Technician would refer to supervisor that never return call.

Some of the contractors are absolutely awful. Replace the incorrect item and then you have to call over 50-times, literally, to get the issue resolved. I initiated a work order in April and as of June it is still NOT resolved. Customer Swevice is not located in the States, so the language barrier is very stressful. Constantly repeating yourself is tiresome and finally AHS has absolutely ZERO follow up or follow through! You're just left hanging in the balance.

Way too long to type. Would be Interested in escalating the issue and talking to someone who can answer questions snd not just read from a script. I am very disappointed in this warranty

I paid my service fee then told most of the time nothing wrong by contractors then I have to ask for a second opinion then most of contractors that comes to my house are not African American I feel like they don't like black peoples I'm tired of them looking at me and my family and I have reported this matter every time they leave my house and the service reswuest doesn't get approved and American home shield takes there side and made me feel like I was wrong
