Horrible service and support. Stay far away!!! They used to have good service, but it has gone downhill. I have been trying to get in touch with them for days staying on hold for hours upon hours to complete a repair.
I have paid for a warranty with them for a few years now. The price went up each year without notice. I made a claim for an oven repair. That was handled relatively well although it took over a month to get the oven fixed and we could not cook meals. I recently made a service claim to get my a/c fixed. The first repair company would not come to fix it for 6 days. I bought 3 policies last year. I have never filed for service. Not once on all three policy’s This year I receive my new statement for the next year. All three policies jumped an average of 67% each. I called to ask why they raised the rates to much. They read a pre made statement to me stating such things as a raise in repair costs, more people requesting service. It was an okay process to get service. American Home Shield should have it to where you don't have to pay 100.00 until they actually come to the house to do the service. Because the guy didn't even call me I had to call him and he couldn't find my info.

I am customer for American Home Shield more than two year. I am so surprise of their treatments for their customer. Please take a time for reading my story for fixing water leakage with American Home Shield. And if possible, please let my story people know it. The repair people came out promptly and were very good but I wasn't aware that with my warranty I still had to pay for so much! I paid the $100 deductible, the $60 for parts and then another 500 for more work and parts- I guess I wasn't aware of the costs of everything-
DO NOT deal with this company. On their TV commercials they seem like a respectable company but they are only as good as the people they send to your home to do any needed repairs which I would not recommend this company because of that for there are ALWAYS out of pocket costs that we the consumer are demanded to pay on a covered item under their warranty plan. Does not stick to service fee! Tells you not to pay the contractor when they show up then allows contractor to charge 3 times service fee for a simple job.
