Very poor customer service. I called for help with a service request and ended up on hold for 2 hours 12 minutes. Unacceptable!
it took me 45-50 minutes to get an answer to a call yesterday
Too long to receive service. No call from company for 48 hours

As far as getting a contractor to my home has not been the issue. I’ve been very pleased with that part. However, I CANNOT get anyone to answer a phone call as I’ve tried on multiple occasions this week and was on hold for hours. VERY FRUSTRATING to say the least. If I can’t get answers soon from the authorization dept I’m just gonna have to cancel and go to another company. Extremely unprofessional imo!

Slow in refunding and sending out service tech who do not do a good job and constantly requesting service for the same appliances.

Terrible service and long waits on phone! AMERICAN HOME SHIELD sends out poor rated companies that they have contracts with. We called to make a Complaint and was told a supervisor would be in touch with us in 48 hours of our call! It has been 2 weeks and still waiting! The company AMERICAN HOME SHIELD sent out to fix A/C ended up doing such damage to our A/C that it can not be fixed! We have pictures to prove it! Do not waste your money on AMERICAN HOME SHIELD! PLUS THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO CHARGE A CANCELLATION FEE!

They're really not that bad. The only issue is the contractors they hire. They never want to put in for a replacement item for you it's sucks they comeback multiple times fix the same issue.
They are double the cost of their competitor, they misrepresented their contract by saying it would never increase. They are slow getting things completed, but their appliance repair guy is fast, knows his job, and the A/C guy is also VERY good! I will call that AC guy again --- does it right. My old AC company gave me a cheap thermostat, but AHS guy gave me a lifetime quarantee thermostat (my lifetime!). Anyway -- I dopped AHS when they jumped their price. I had only made one claim after spending $800 in premiums. Not worth... read more
