Very affordable price, but horrible CSR, long waits over the phone(even before the pandemic)
Wait forever for service Then they do bare minimum prolongingthe repair time and multiple phone calls and waiting

Unless you use their website to book appointments American Home Shield is extremely hard to contact. And, the customer service personnel speak very poor English and are very hard to understand if you don't have excellent hearing. Last year it took them over 4 months to get my pool pump repaired.

I'd give zero stars if available. We have had Home Shield for 15 years and nearly every time we need them it is a nightmare. Our Microwave is defective. It heats without anyone turning it on and then shuts down. We have been trying to get it fixed since the second week of December 2020 and it is now February 19th 2021. The Sears service Home Shield hired ordered a part in December and said it would be here in January. It showed up last week, the service guy came today and guess what? When we needed our refrigerator fixed it took 3 weeks
Washer/dryer both quit working. Paid 2 service calls to get them to look at them. We were told both needed replaced. Four months later and after dozens of attempts to reach them, went to BBB. Still battling with them. The phone numbers they give you are not answered. Put on hold over 8 hours one day. Tried to write but came back undeliverable. SCAMMERS!!!! Do not use these people!! I had trusted AHS for years…I understand there are things not covered, but my last two experiences were very poor. It might have been better had there been any transparency, it might have helped, but I received to itemized bill, no breakdown of what I was paying for and what they were paying for…it all seemed very secretive.
