I finally came to my senses and decided to cancel my contract. This company is awful. Two weeks after my refrigerator dies and I contact them I’ve had two visits and it still hasn’t been repaired. Their contractors are the worst/cheapest in the area and AHS customer service is the absolute worst. No chat or email contact method. I just reported my complaint of a claim very unfairly denied--with little prospect of fair review of the decision--to the CA Depart of insurance at Claims Services Bureau. The first repair person said I was at fault for overloading my washing machine; I explained to the second repair person that companies no longer make full size washers that fit under kitchen counter so I intentionally ONLY put in HALF loads for years. Awful experience with this company on several issues with a house I just purchased. Issue #1 which I will include in this review. I had to get my own plumber in after they said my hot water heater was not lite and turned in up. They were WRONG. It turned out I had multiple issues including: shower valve replacement, hot/cold water mixing/ no water coming out 1 side of the shower, faulty water heater gate valve, and I needed a new water heater from overuse due to the hot/cold water mixing. I Paid and requested service for our a/c repair 72 hours ago on line. I called American Home to let them no that No technician has called---I was on hold 2 &1/2 hours and still no answer. I have been a paying customer for 8 years but this is Horrible Service. It has been 105, 107, today 109 degrees I have small children. Up till this time I have always received excellent service but I believe I will be removing all 3 separate policies

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Dec 19th we closed on our home and purchased a warranty through them. Dec 20th we realized the fridge was not cooling down so we placed a warranty service request Dec 30th after dealing with two of their contractors someone showed up and gave us a notification that the compressor is not working. However given they are not EPA certified they couldn't work on the unit Jan 7th. We have had the ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE with this company.... they are quick to take your money but in a few of our situations we have been sent some very poor rated companies to come and try to fix our problems and when these companies come out they are here a couple of minutes, fix what they think is the issue and then guess what.... within a couple of hours we’re back to square one. I have had a contract with AHS since I purchased my home in January of 2004 and have never had a problem with them until my current repair issue. It seems their customer service has been outsourced to a company in the Philippines now and there is no ability to speak with anyone in their corporate office (wherever that may be) to file a complaint.
