No sure that I like AHS now that I need to utilize the service for replacement. I am a real estate agent and refer a lot of people to AHS but have never had to deal with a replacement issue. The call center is not helpful and very difficult to understand. My washer was approved for replacement. I have not been able to get in touch with the replacement department. The first two issues we had with our brand new home, they do not cover. We called about an electrical issue, paid the $75 service fee, and scheduled an electrician. Electrician came out, was very knowledgable, but said it most likely wouldn't be covered. And no, it was not covered. So now, an issue that might have cost us originally $170-$200 to fix on our own will now end up costing us that plus the $75. Very frustrating, very unhelpful, very disappointed. Do not buy with this company.

Do not waste your money on a home warranty from American Home Shield. I repeat, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I gave this company at least 3 tries to show me that they stand by their promises to provide valuable service. They failed each and every time, this most recent time being the nail in their coffin. The AC in our home quit working overnight Monday, June 24th. I placed a repair request online Tuesday, June 25th. For Arizona, AHS does not work very fast when it comes to AC repairs. They aren't based in AZ and so we are treated as if we can simply go 4-6 days without AC when it breaks down. That doesn't work well when its 117 degrees outside. Also, my second year contract jumped 13.50 per month without an explanation, simply here's your new monthly fee and you can cancel at any time. If there is a worse company in America I can't imagine what it would be. After requesting a change of service providers since the first one wasn't returning my calls, I scheduled an appointment with a second company. AMERICAN HOME SHIELD CANCELED THAT APPOINTMENT AND NEVER EVEN CALLED TO TELL ME!!!!!! I've been living in a house without air conditioning for a week and they treat me like this?? To say nothing of the bottom of the barrel service providers they recruit. uniformly awful reviews for good reason.

Time consuming trying to get someone on the phone. Too many phone numbers and buttons to push in the automated system. I purchased the 3x3 plan and read all parts and components covered. All parts and components ARE NOT COVERED.

Worst service ever. Customer service is terrible, close early, auto increase payments, auto renew... not fit for a modern day.

You warranty or insurance plan is only as good as the providers you contract with, and the HVAC contractor in our area is absolutely horrible. For the area, they have reviews of 2. Who would select a company like that with numerous 5 star reviews in the area. They are dishonest and a total scam, and you are too for using them.

Repeatedly asked company to not use a 1 star rated repair company, they would not listen to my reasoning. Ended up taken 2 months of frustration before paying for my new stove during the Holiday season. I was frustrated with the repair company (that I requested not to use). The second time Ibhad to use that same company for my refrigerator that company provided excellent service. I would have liked American Home Shield to listen better.
