Wish the companies doing the actual services could repair sooner. A lot of waiting between schedule visit order part then reschedule when part arrives for appliances repaired!!

This company is horrible! Zero stars is my real rating. They send out contractors that don't fix anything and come up with every reason in the book to not approve a claim. I had them for a 3 years and I finally got rid of them yesterday. I am now in the market for a new company because I hate being taken advantage of. This company is not here to help, they are just here to take your money and provide no real service. I hope it is sooner than later that they don't exist.

Have had an AHS contract for two years. Did not need to use the first year. This year we had 2 failures. Hot Water heater went out and was repaired, although while repairing it, when re-pressurized the system had our expansion tank leak. The repair for the exp tank was not covered and we received an expensive invoice for such a minor part of the repair , but the Hot water tank was done well. 2nd failure, a refrigerator. I’m very happy with this last service. Not very happy with reason I had to call for it though. Last call was to have WATER HEATER replaced and tech did not replace one of the parts that failed.

I have been with American Home Shield for 25 years. I do NOT recommend purchasing a policy with them. I do recommend that you take the money that you would pay annually and stash it away for emergencies. Their selected service companies that will take the AHS payment are generally sub standard. One person came to replace an air conditioner thermostat and left the entire wiring exposed on the roof. I had a hot water heater put in ..they should of payed for everything that has to do with the hot water heater getting it up and going ..hooking up cold and hot water side and relief valve..I had to pay a lot of money after work was done ..not right

Was with American Home Shield (AHS) for more than three years, and only had to call in two repairs during that time period. During membership we actually SAVED them money by replacing a dishwasher on our own due to my wife wanting a certain model when the old one quit. / So, five days ago we needed emergency repair on our AC unit that was discovered during a normal service call by an outside company (the ones hired by AHS never called, never showed up).
