Always inconsistent with Plans. Bills says one thing and the site another. The online site nor does the printed bill reflect the payments and the total amount of the plan. Customer service sucks. I'v even reported them to the BBB.

I gave a positive review about my claim last year but now need to change it. They increased the rate significantly and I called them on time to cancel. They offered me 2 months free to compensate for the increase but kept charging my card. I have spoken to customer representatives Keisha on 09/14/20, Earl on 10/27/2020. Jay on 11/05/2020 who reassured me again that problem would be fixed. But it was never fixed, and they kept charging. Called about a broken dryer. Repair tech came out and said would take 2 to 3days to order part. After one week of no one notifying me I called Hot Shot Appliance Repair to find out the status. They said the part was on back order and they don’t know when it will be in. Okay, 2 weeks later now without being able to wash and dry clothes, I contact American Home Shield and they can’t give me any information and say I gave To wait indefinitely until part available. I had this insurance for a year and I must have used their service twice. A) They contract with low grade contractors (this is within my zip code zone; I can’t speak to other areas). B) I paid $75 for a contractor to come out for diagnose, for each new claim, plus monthly insurance charge. My coverage plan package covers 10 items in the house. Had very bad experience with AHS on an issue with my AC and ended up buying a new AC. Have had the worst time trying to cancel the policy. Was waiting for 2+ hours with different departments, and finally with the retention department to cancel my policy. There is no easy way to do this, no link on the website etc. A total scam company. I will take my chances with another company. I do not have 2+ hours to waste every time I call this scam company. User Beware!!!. Just Bought home less than 2 months ago and tried to talk to customer service because of a couple of issues such as a leaking toilet and total electric heat and air unit that needs to be repaired or replaced. Called twice trying to find out what exactly would be out of pocket cost if these appliances needed replacing. Was on the phone for over 2 hours with people who had broken English and hard to understand then put on hold only just to be hung up on both times so I can only imagine the rest of the services this company off... read more

This company is unbelievable... just read the reviews below. I guess I'll keep this short since it goes with the other reviews. Been paying 2-3 years and just made a service request. Waited 24 hours for call back to tell me it will be a week before they can come. My frig isn't working, that's crazy. Other appliances i could deal with. After paying a service fee monthly, customers are then charged a $75 fee each time a service call is placed. This service call fee is too high. Secondly, there should be the ability online to submit a recall ticket for same issue without being charged another service fee.
