Just Bought home less than 2 months ago and tried to talk to customer service because of a couple of issues such as a leaking toilet and total electric heat and air unit that needs to be repaired or replaced. Called twice trying to find out what exactly would be out of pocket cost if these appliances needed replacing. This company is unbelievable... just read the reviews below. I guess I'll keep this short since it goes with the other reviews. Been paying 2-3 years and just made a service request. After paying a service fee monthly, customers are then charged a $75 fee each time a service call is placed. This service call fee is too high. Secondly, there should be the ability online to submit a recall ticket for same issue without being charged another service fee.

This company claims they will cover appliances and and home systems when they fail or something goes wrong. They tell you you pay a certain amount monthly and then a service fee once you make a claim and they will handle it from there, but this is not the case at all! My A/C went out and they company (Total Air Care)they choose btw didn’t come out until a week later. They told me they will recommend a condenser coil be changed. It took AHS another week to respond. American Home Shield is a disaster to work with. This is especially true with large or expensive items such as HVAC. We still had to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket, but use the vendors they are affiliated with who are rated F by the BBB. It took 2 months without AC until new units were finally installed. I have an upgraded plan and they do not want to cover my AC repair. Been a customer for over 6years. Very disappointed that they want me to pay an additional 700.00 to repair my AC unit. This is the 2nd time this has happened

We have had them for years and for appliances they have been great. However, when it comes to heating and air their choice of contractors leaves something to be desired. We have in the past 3 years have had instances requiring the services of a heating and air company through AHS which has proved to be a complete mess. My microwave caught fire the day before Thanksgiving!!!! They have sent out 2 different people and both are saying something different!! No one follows up unless you call them.
