The whole ordeal went on for 4 days and I am very disappointed in the way in which my situation was handled. I would love for management to reach out to me so this can be discussed.

Stay away. Have gone thru two attempts paying $75, freon charges, and days off from work attempting to get a/c repaired. In both cases, the technician first has to fill freon promising to return if the unit stopped working. In both cases, took several days to return when the freon leaked as expected. Today the technician came back saying AHS needs to authorize a compressor replacement which will take a couple days. What a joke, the Service dept takes your $75 then the local company they choose says the item is NOT COVERED. I had something in the attic, "unknown" squirrel, rat, raccoon? unsure, the Service dept was more than happy to process my $75 to put in an order even after I specifically asked if this would be covered YES YES YES....review your recorded conversation. NO TO THIS as a service....not worth a DIME!!!

The warranty company used to be fine until the calls started routing to some customer care in Philippines. I had an issue with washer leaking water and created a service request in June 2019. A part had to be ordered and until we made several calls, the part was not ordered. After the part was ordered, it took around 3 months to fix it to the washer. The mechanical company being used doesn't respond to the calls/voice message or text messages. AHS Philippines call center has no clue or control over the mechanical company and... read more

American Home Shield is a scam and ripoff. They take your money and do not provide a service in return! Their contractors are instructed to make the repairs fall into "uncovered" categories, leaving the financial burden to the homeowners! I had a technician come in and tell me I need 5lbs of refrigerant, which AHS doesn't cover (the cost is $125/lb). I paid him 650 and my AC went out 3 days later because he didn't diagnose the real issue. They refuse to reimburse me. I will never use AHS again.

Many years ago I entered a contract with American Home Shield and the service was great! However they cut back on the plumbing coverage and the fact that most contractors in my area will not accept it. The plumbers don't want to crawl under my house and look at plumbing problems just to take a photo and get approval. It a lot easier for them to get there and take care of the problem. Horrible! I had a service call for a kitchen sink stoppage. Usually when it can't be unclogged from under the sink it has to be unclogged from my main drain which is on my roof because my home is an older home. He refused to do that although I told him they have done it before. I called AHS and they said they had to wait for the plumbers report and would call me back. This weekend was not good at all. In order to solve a simple problem, you would think I was asking for the impossible. Cozy Comfort came out a while ago to get our heater ready for the winter. Well a couple of days later it got cold enough for the heater to turn on. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. I tried contacting AHS, and the lady told me to call Cozy Comfort.
