I paid extra for my septic system to be covered. A piece on my septic system broke. They sent three plumbers out. The 2nd two had never worked one septic system before. I still haven’t had anyone follow up with me about it. People at the call center. Don’t understand houses or repairs. They just read the notes. Very frustrating.

They sent someone out who sabotaged my ac and then sent someone out who fixed it and told them the company sabotaged it and it cost me 500 dollars.

The only time that we did get good service was with the air condition Service companies. We have had Home Shield since we build our home and we did have any problems until our unit went out and a coil was to be replaced. But what really happened was that all the inside unit was replace, but we were not told and it was a Pane, Not a Trane. Absolute worse experience with American Home Shield. My husband and I recently bought a home, about a week after purchase home shield called to go over the contract and asked if we would like to list any one else as an authorized rep on our contract, we listed another family member. I put in a service request for our dishwasher, the servicer was out in one day and stated our dishwasher would be cheaper to replace that fix and to expect a phone call from home shield in 1-2 business days. It's good if you have minor issues that need fixed, but the minute you have a major issue you realize the value of what you are buying. I had two catastrophic issues take place within relative close proximity and both were handled the same way. One was the water heater the other my AC. The water heater cracked over Labor Day and I needed a new one immediately. They came and said it would be at least a week (family of 5...not gonna happen) just to get the part.
