This company is a SCAM! Stay away. I am in Texas and the temperature Just hit 100. My AC has been down for two weeks now. I am trying to sell my house and American Home Shield is dragging this process out as long as they can. They refuse to put anything in an email. They have indicated they have put notices is the mail, however I haven’t seen anything. I was recommended American Home Shield from a family member. I REGRETFULLY purchased their insurance to cover multiple appliances in my home. When my AC unit went out, they sent a technician to “asses and fix” the problem. The process took well over a month just to be inconclusive. The technicians they chose claimed to have fixed my unit after charging me the $250 for Freon (which Home Shield does not fully cover) just for it to have leaked out completely 5 hours later. This company is one of the biggest mistakes of my life. Their contractors are shady and half-way do their job. The customer service is horrible, don’t listen, and y’all over you. I have been without A/C in GA for over a week and the earliest the contractor said they can come out is 7/3!!!! I have small kids and it is burning up in my house. They have no regards or empathy for my situation, not to mention the contractor they sent for a leak complaint is extremely shady and didn’t even fully complete his job. American Home Shield is the worst home insurance company. I do not recommend it. Work orders take weeks. You get a different answer each time you call and nothing changes. Forget about taking yo-yo a supervisor you will never ever be allowed to speak to one. I tried 4 times different days each time and nothing. No customer service. They do not care about getting anything repaired. You sorry just a number. Very disappointed with them.

I am having the most terrible time with American home shield. All the information is top-secret no one can answer questions when you get into a situation where one of your appliances breaks down. I do not recommend this company whatsoever! The companies that they refer you to to fix your appliances are so incredibly rude it’s u believable. I’m a little older and I feel completely discriminated against! This company one star is really over writing it. But one must do that to submit this posting Beware beware beware!

Worst company to work with. You have the Phillipino's you have to deal with before you can be transferred to a US representative. 2.5 hours to get to that point. Then you have the rude representatives that are trained to hang up on you if they don't want to deal with you being upset. The always want to "buy out" your appliance with product of less quality. A flaker ice machine is not equivalent to a cube ice machine. It's a scam. Can't send grievance and there is NO customer service.

I hate holding on the phone for an average of an hour just to get a customer service person who doesn't understand my english. I hate how they hang up on you if they do not agree with your experience. I hate having to put refrigerant in my HVAV unit every year because they put stop leak into the unit for the last five years and will not replace the unit.
