I am having the most terrible time with American home shield. All the information is top-secret no one can answer questions when you get into a situation where one of your appliances breaks down. I do not recommend this company whatsoever! The companies that they refer you to to fix your appliances are so incredibly rude it’s u believable. I’m a little older and I feel completely discriminated against! This company one star is really over writing it. But one must do that to submit this posting Beware beware beware!

Worst company to work with. You have the Phillipino's you have to deal with before you can be transferred to a US representative. 2.5 hours to get to that point. Then you have the rude representatives that are trained to hang up on you if they don't want to deal with you being upset. The always want to "buy out" your appliance with product of less quality. A flaker ice machine is not equivalent to a cube ice machine. It's a scam. Can't send grievance and there is NO customer service.

I hate holding on the phone for an average of an hour just to get a customer service person who doesn't understand my english. I hate how they hang up on you if they do not agree with your experience. I hate having to put refrigerant in my HVAV unit every year because they put stop leak into the unit for the last five years and will not replace the unit. They don't care about your property being destroyed. I paid a total of$ 250.00 for repairs to be done on my washing machine. America home shield took my money and got no repairs done to my washing machine.

It has been two weeks since my claim. I understand AHS needs a second opinion. In 2002, the seller of my home paid for my warranty service. Since July 2003 I have personally paid for it. For 16 years! What's the problem?

Absolutely horrible. Had a plumbing problem back in February. The plumber AHS gave us cancelled three times in three weeks. Finally hired our own plumber. Sent invoice they now say they never got. I called to check put on hold for hours. Told checks in the mail then no it's not never got the invoice. It's a complete scam. Save your money they suck

This is the worst home warranty I have ever had. My AC had been broken since April and we are now in July. The Home shield sent 3 differnt back yard AC Company's out to fix my AC. It would for 5 days then stop blowing cold air. All they wanted was to compasate me is $127 to buy a wall unit. Not even enough to buy one the cheapest one I could find is $150 from target. I have been a long-time customer with numerous properties. It is getting worse and worse. If you need to change or cancel a contract, you cannot do so online. I have spent hours on hold just to keep being transferred over and over again. They have you in a trap. Everyone I have spoken to is uninformed and inept.
