I was originally a customer of HSA, and when American Home Shield bought HSA, the company practices changed for the worst. The most recent issue is that I requested for a toilet repair. It took 1 month and over 3 hours on the phone with AHS to have the toilet repaired. Not once did AHS apologize or admit to negligence. Instead, I was continually charged and had to continually follow up with AHS to have the issue resolved. I would give them ZERO stars if it were possible. My freezer has been non functional for over a month . When I first requested service, they sent a technician, who did not even get the fridge out of the cabinet., stating that he would have to get 2 people to help him and that home warranty company would have to authorize it . I have called the repair company, who stated that they knew what the problem was and that they had ordered parts that were on back order ( all this without this guy pulling out my fridge) . As of Sept 18, my review is still the same...NO STARS AT ALL!!! I tried dealing with the person who contacted me but got nowhere!!! On something so simple as providing a physical printed policy, they can not do it because their statement is that they will not send another duplicate of the policy. My argument is that I never even got the original in the first place!! Their argument is that we can download a PDF of the policy on their company site. Aweful company. Have had bad experiences both with getting my ice maker and dishwasher fixed. Dishwasher took over 2 months to get fixed. Ice maker has been in the process of getting fixed since December 26. Contractors I have dealt with were extremely unprofessional. I would not reccomend this company.

This company does not stand behind its committment. I have been without AC for more than a week now. I waste an hour with a representative each day saying the same things. The reps are unbelievably bad at their jobs. I am told every day that someone will call me to schedule an appointment tomorrow but i never get that call. What a scam of a company.

When summer arrived here in Texas, my AC seemed to be losing its cooling ability. I called AHS on May 23rd, paid my $75 fee and they connected me with Next Gen Air. They finally came out on June 6th. They inspected my system and said it needed a valve of some kind. They replaced it and charged me $40 per pound for Freon - a total of 14 pounds. AHS only covers $10 per pound so I wrote them a check for $420. The thing I found strange was that on my AC unit it has printed that they system only holds 11 pounds. I contacted Next ... read more

Woke up Christmas morning with no heat in the main part of the house. I went to the breaker box and found a tripped breaker. I reset the breaker only for it to spark and my husband heard a popping sound coming from the baseboard heater. The breaker would not reset. Made a claim with AHS and got a confirmation of a contractor that same day. The contractor called and said they had no appointments until December 31, 2019. Contractors quality is not always great, we should be allowed to pick within a list...no need to give work to a mediocre business .

I had to contractors come to my home. One performed very well the other contractor is however coming back for a third time to get the refrigerator fixed. The appliance contractor I have not even received an email yet about these appointments I've only received phone calls and why is it taking three times
