We have had American Home Shield coverage on our home for over 10 years. We have not really needed them until recently. Our AC went out. They sent a contractor to repair it on 7/15. The contractor "repaired it." It was a clogged drain line. Within 24 hours the AC was out again. The same contractor came back out several days later and told us our evaporator coil was bad and needed to be replaced. They sent us a quote on what our out of pocket costs would be. Worthless service by inept technicians. I’ve been trying to get a working range since Mid May. This is now well into August and I’m no closer to resolution. Customer Service is awful. An average phone call is an hour. I actually had one girl on the phone that took 40 minutes before she understood I’ve already had an electrician to my house. Save yourself the trouble and headache just keep the money you would have spent for future home repairs.

please refer to my file for full disclosure of my case Claim#041700695. My claim was denied even though I was able to provide proof that a leak under my sink was not long term but accidental by two Remediator contractors. It's been a month and no help. Still waiting for a reply from a manager. Case has been escalated. Aweful worst customer service ever

Been trying to get our refrigerator fixed since June. AHS sends the worst rated company (Active Appliance-read their reviews) on all four occasions and they still cannot fix the problem. I call again because its still broke and I say do not send Active Appliance...that's what they do. I call again and they assign a company that does not handle Kitchen Aid. I call again....it's ongoing. It's like talking to robots with no personality. But I notice the money comes out every month. Looking into other Home Warranty companies. I ... read more

I called AHS the first week in Nov to report a nonworking microwave. They sent a contractor a few days later. He ordered some parts. When one of the parts arrived he came back and installed it. Did not fix the problem. He said he would come back when the others arrived, but they were backordered until Dec 26. I called AHS after Dec 26 and now the parts were not available until Feb 14. Late in January I called again. Now the date was Feb 19. I called AHS again on Feb 21. They said they would check and get back to me. Did not.... read more

The service is excellent. But the company needs to have more english speaking people answering the phones. I'm severely ard of hearing and it's difficult to understand someone with a heavy accent. The person had trouble understanding me also.

Techs are great and very Efficient doing their job. Not happy with the company though because I decided to raise my deductible from $75 to 100 I didn't feel the need to discuss it with me poor judgment on the company's part especially with your faith for customers

I currently have 2 open service calls, both now 3 weeks, fridge is not cooling and water heater is broken. Multiple people have come to fix it and still broken. AHS keeps sending different people. At what point can we say its broken an replace? My kids can't keep taking cold showers and we can't use a coleman forever.
