Can I give a negative review. What a joke. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON AMERICAN HOME SHIELD. They are absolute crooks that provide zero, ZERO, service or value. HVAC is supposedly a covered system and then when my zoned system quite working and I pay $75 for the service call the tech comes out and finds a motorized zone damper is not functioning. My work is a RECAll. I had a garbage disposal removed and new one install. It is now making a horrible noise and something sounds like it is coming loose in it! Your company is sending repairman back again to fix the problem.

Have had good luck in the past but current issue is still unresolved. Day 4 and counting. Kitchen sink stoppage took 3 days to get contractor. Drain still stopped up, now leaking into the (finished) basement. Ceiling, wall and carpet all damaged now. Unreal!

Customer service is completely clueless. I keep speaking to people that have no idea what is going on and is not able to solve anything, I called the I don't know, I don't care attitude. They always put me on hold, I am spending at least 4 hours a day trying to get my problem solved, but nobody is really able to help. Wish I had read the negative reviews before. They increased my monthly premium after a year which I didn't notice for several months. When I called they said they will credit me, and transferred me to another representative (Jordan) who after 20 minutes of being on the call was trying to sell me to stay and charged me an administrative fee for cancellation. BIG SCAM, stay away from this company, or you will regret it!

Terrible experience. One claim (garbage disposal) went average. 4 months later, in an unrelated matter, called to ask 3 questions, got no help so I cancelled on the spot (April 14, 2019). Over 60 days later I still get calls and notifications being past due. When I tell them to look at their screen, they agree I'm not and apologize. I've documented all interactions and sending to their Corporate office and BBB.

If I could give negative number of stars I would. I’ve spent the past year trying to get my AC repaired through my American Home Shield warranty. I’ve been given the ultimate run around and wasted countless hours and thousands of my own money. After multiple AC repair men they sent out couldn’t repair or replace our unit, we were told to find our own local service and have them contact AHS with a diagnosis. If I could give 0 stars I would. I called AHS on July 13 to report my AC hadn’t been working for a week. They sent a HVAC service repair company who came on the July 16 and reported that the compressor in the AC outsider condenser unit was broken. It is a Lennox 4-ton condenser which lasted 33 years and is too old to repair, so must be replaced. I was informed that AHS would get back to me within 48hrs. They didn’t, so I called after 36hrs and waited on hold again to be told it was under review and to give them another 24 hr... read more
