Total scam- paid the $100 service fee twice for them to send out the same company who didn’t fix it correctly the first time. 2 1/2 months later I call CS, only for them to say let me look into this and get back with you. Never heard back, called again after 21 minutes was hung up on. Called back on Hold again 26 min so far because they can’t find a manager who’s not already on the phone handling other issues. AHS has the worst customer service ever. They have people who read the script but don’t want to get the work done. The contractor are HORRIBLE. I dealt with R&S heating and they are the worst heating company ever. Called and complained for 2 months before I received a different contractor. Now I have a major issue in my house due to AHS not listening. All parts are refurbished and don’t let them ant different. This is why they order the item needed. They go up every year on your price. We have America n Home Shield for about 10 yrs now and to be honest, it is not what we expected. Like some reviewers mentioned, the service tech they sent were sub-par or will find every reason to not honor the coverage. A pool service tech came by and said that our pool sit too close to the fencing and therefore it is not cover, of course we still have to pay him $75 to hear that. Don't waste your time and money. I have 5 properties signed up with them and first time I needed a refrigerator fixed. I called the vendor that they assigned and they told me soonest they can come out was in one week. After they come the technician has no clue what is wrong and does not fix anything and leaves. for a leaking hose he puts aluminum tape around a tube and calls it a fix.

We have AHS warranty on the house we bought in August 2019. Our furnace broke, technician came out and determined that zone board was at fault. AHS authorization department said that this part is not covered per some section 8.2 in our contact. In the contract I signed there is no sections 1, 2, 3,... there are sections A, B, C... Stay AWAY from this company. It’s a scam. They have very skilled sales representatives that will make you buy the contract. First of, i had a claim for my water heater. They hire the worst companies to do the service. The plumbing company never showed up in the 3 hr window provided (9-12), i called at 1205 and they said Oh the technician got cough up with a previous call and " IF YOU WANT WE CAN SEND ANOTHER ONE AT 3 PM". Absolutely the most ridiculous process I have ever been through... I have been an American Home Shield customer for 17 years and have had a good experience till now and of course it is the AC. I had 2 units replaced by AHS by an authorized contractor assigned by AHS 2 years ago. Until last week, everything was fine until a coil cracked and the unit stopped cooling.
