My contract automatically Renewed on 3/25/20, without any notice my payment went up, from $49.99 to 56.99. On calling today, the agent told me that was a promotional discount, when I signed up the agent then specifically told me my payments won't be going up, and now THIS. So does this happen every year it renews ??!!!

I submitted a claim for a plumbing leak. The plumber told me my non cover charges were $375. I asked what exactly was covered and what was not covered and he said they don't cover modifications. Since they are replacing the brass with PVC he said that was a modification. They said AHS would call and tell me, . They did not so I called. I was told by the first person at AHS it was because they were making modifications. I have had several rental properties covered by this company. In the past, there were issues, so I cancelled some of the properties and continued with coverage for my home and one of the rentals. Recently, I have had problems with Gaggeneau cook tops and Sub-Zero refrigerator. The technicians came, and said there are no parts available for cook tops, and they need to be replaced. He also said the refrigerator needs a higher level technician to come fix the problem. I have made several phone calls to the company. Every time y... read more

There are two areas where AHS treats customers unfairly: Contractors for AHS in many cases are paid less than the market rate for their labor. For some difficult or aggravating repairs which may force the contractor to spend too much time, the service provider will call the repair in and tell AHS that damage or repair is NOT due to normal wear and tear. Repairmen AHS have sent have been mostly fine(I was decades with AHS and its prior company) BUT PLAN MAKES NO ECONOMIC SENSE(and good luck getting refund of unused contract balance when you cancel) $150 for typical washer dryer etc. repair without AHS versus $69 monthly premium plus ~$80 deductible per repair with AHS-AND they only pay 10% of a heat pump coolant recharge(they used to cover it all) after paying AHS and its predecessor company ~$16K over the decades in premiums and deductibles I'm unable to get a(contract mand... read more

The warranty service is excellent. The customer service is horrible. I was so excited about getting my warranty and how well the service was, I recommended my friend Angie Tarbill of Illinois. She signed up and we called to get the $25 Amazon Gift Card under refer-a-Friend. I was informed she should have signed up thru the email instead of calling it in. Still have not resolved the $125 charge I was told would not be charged. Each time I talk with you about it I'm told you are still checking. It's time to refund the over charge

My wife and I purchased a condo this spring, and paid for a warranty from AHS. The hot water in our condo was BROWN when we moved in. There was so much sediment in the hot water that anyone would have been able to see that the water was going to fail before very long. AHS refused to listen to anything that my wife or I had to say on the matter. On the (Wednesday) morning before Thanksgiving, the water heater failed. I will never use this company again...I was not approved for a hot water heater...Didn't understand why? I have sent a message to facebook...Plus I am calling the better business bureau, and telling them you are a scam.. Diane Platinsky
