You call or do claim on line they send out A request to the company's they have But it's a process they don't fix it unless The item goes out again then they resend same company

My central AC went out in early May, I called AHS and the tech came out and just charged me for 2lbs of freon even though noticed a leak in the evap coil. June 3, the AC failed again. The techs came out on 6/8 and said the evap coil was leaking which let all my freon out. It's the 6/12 and I'm still waiting for AHS to deny or auth the repairs. From what I'm reading from other reviews from customers with my exact issue, I'm probably better off calling my own contractor because AHS will probably little to nothing.

Don't keep promises. Vendors on their list cant work on my problem, and they won't allow other vendors that could fix to fix. So I am out the money. Seems like breach of contract to me.

Made a service request to AHS 6/11/19 online because my A/C was not working properly. Waited 24 hour and did not hear anything from AHS. On 6/12/19 I called AHS and spoke to a lady who couldn’t explain to me why no one had contacted me. She finally told me that the work had been assigned to a contractor but the contractor had cancelled the work because he was busy. Now no one contacted me and informed me about the contractor canceling. Had I not called AHS I would have been just waiting for nothing. I was then told my work o... read more

When replacement parts are needed, the contractors use lower quality parts/equipment. In one instance I asked if I could pay the difference for a better part and they said it wasn't allowed.

Let’s just say my family and I have slept in 83+ degree temp since the end of June....it’s now SEPTEMBER AND WE ARE STILL IN THE HEAT! The contractor that was assigned to us does not return calls, does not come when he tells you and takes WEEKS to even attempt to fix or place a bandaid on the problem. I am so angry! Do not waste your money on this lousy company. 3 months without AC IN THE SUMMER is brutal. Especially with children!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

I have had American Home Shield for 20 years. Most of that time it has provided very good service. However, it has now begun using non-US citizens to answer its phones. Not only is it difficult for them to understand me, but I can’t really understand them very well. I had to have a washer repaired, which should have happened quickly. It didn’t. They sent the order for the technician, and a repair was attempted, but it was not the right solution. A second attempt revealed the washer could no longer be repaired. At this point ... read more

If you like being on hold with the Phillipians for 30+ minutes only to get disconnected, then this is the home warranty service for you! I have been trying to get the cashout for services I have already paid out of my pocket for over a month. I am trying to get the worthless plumbing company that came out and supposedly fixed my unit to put a working piece on it again, nothing in a month. So, $125 for service call $800. to get my water heater repaired correctly, was offered $517. for cash out...Go Figure. called back in 3 ti... read more

Most experiences have been positive. This past service call has been a nightmare. We have now been over a week without a refrigerator. Service provider is completely incompetent and is now not returning calls. Provider says parts ordered, but then scheduled an appointment without ever talking with us "to do a second opinion since so many parts were ordered". If they are lacking that much confidence in their technician (totally plausible), then that warrants a call to us to discuss. Parts supposedly will be in on Monday (3 da... read more
