It is really just an insurance policy like auto or life. The conundrum is do you want to have services to make the expenditure worth while? I don't, but this way I can budget for the biggies and sleep at night.

Customer service is outstanding :) We live rural, so trying to find a contractor to come to us is hard. With AHS we don't have to find our own contractor, we submit the claim, pay the deductible, and they take care of the rest :) The last Home Warranty we had, I had to find the contractor, pay the bill up front, and then wait to be reimbursed. I spent the better part of two days making phone calls, sending emails, waiting for contractors to get back to me, all while my sewer was backed up.
