STAY AWAY from this company, buy warranty elsewhere. We had American Home Shield for years, spend lots of money with them. I had a warranty hrough First American. They had customer service overseas and were horrible. I cancelled my contract and a few moths later I spoke with a sales rep in the US at This company whom advised that their prices were higher but customer service is in the US. He advised they had physical locations. He was awesome. I signed up. Long story short within a few months they moved their customer service to a scripted call center overseas! It is a shame that I am required to even provide one star. This company is a joke. This company sent a technician who looked at Google for 3 hours only to tell me he couldn't fix the refrigerator that day. I requested a more knowledgeable technician, and low and behold 3 months later my refrigerator is broken again. I have been trying to get someone out here to take a look for over 2 weeks. Total SCAM. NO supervisor. Acting stupid on the phone while charging money. Hanging up on me when I asked to cancel service. Paid $800 so far and the first time I ask for service they try to rip me off. If this isnt illegal, it should be.

This is the worst company I ever work with. AHS contracted Accord Appliance. They are literary influence their supplier company to present fact to decline coverage on my stove. The Accord Appliance technician told my tenant that the stove should be replaced by AHS and he provided all the pictures to AHS and then we never heard from either AHS and them. 3 weeks later we called the Warranty insurance company, They claimed to have received nothing, they in turn called the Accord Appliance. These are the worst people I've ever dealt with in my life. The wait times are ridiculous to speak with a representative, and then when you get someone on the phone they can't help or pass you off to someone in another department that is always closed. My air conditioner broke, I've been waiting almost six months as they continuously ordered parts that did not work. I then contacted them after receiving a rate increase in the mail. 4 weeks ago we requested service for our refrigerator. We have a built-in Kitchen-Aid unit that is about 10 years old, so not too old. They assigned one company who couldn't fix it, and then another who claimed to be able to fix it. They supposedly ordered parts, but have no idea when the parts will be shipped. There is no excuse for this awful service. This is not the first bad experience we have had with them.
American Home Shield experience was totally un profession service providers. The service Tech did not even attempt to trouble issues, and made unsupported documentation of findings. American Home Shield customer service representatives refused my request to send another service company, Enthought the original provide had failed on multiple trips to correct issues. I received an email 2 days ago stating my AHS payment hasn't gone through. Problem is, the last service I used from AHS was early 2017, which is around the same time I cancelled my service (current date is May 16, 2019). My wife handles finances, and not sure how she hasn't noticed, but that's besides the point.
