We were without hot water for over a week, finally the tech came and fixed it. 10 weeks later and the water heater has stopped again... call AHS yo be told oh we only cover 60 days. So now we have to pay out of pocket again!

I got this warranty service when purchasing my home and thought it was a good deal. When i called them to have someone fix my hot water heater, they sent someone out promptly. When the person arrived they said i needed a new part but it was going to take 5 days because the warranty company would not pay for expedited shipping. I could however pay another $150 to get it expedited myself. The repair man told me this was a common part, so I asked why they didn't have them in stock to which he did not have an answer for. THIS COMPANY ITS THE WORDE STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNETHICAL COMPANNY CHARGE ME IN ADVANCE $100 TO REPAIR MY WASHER THEY SENT A TEXH AFTER 6 HOURS FROM THE APPOINTMENT TIME NO PHONES TO CALL NO ANSWER MACHINE TOLD ME THAT WILL ORDER THE PART THEN THAT IT WONT BE COVER SO THEY HOT AEAY WITH MY $39 MONTHLY FEE AND $100 PAID IN ADVANCE

A repairman sent by AHS did a faulty job on my washing machine repair which resulted in three rooms of my house flooding. I called AHS immediately. Their response? "We're not responsible for water damage, sir." Then they charged me the $75 fee. Contractor did not accept responsibility. AHS does not accept responsibility. What's left? I am out nearly $4K for my home insurance deductible. Cheats. Crooks. Horrible company. Horrible service. Would never recommend. Will never use again.

Terrible customer service! It takes multiple calls and hours on hold with American Home Shield to even speak with a customer service person. They have told me they are "expediting" my claim for the last four days and they are no closer to having a resolution. They assigned an unprofessional and incompetent contractor to do the work. When a second contractor offered to come out to do the work the same day AHS said no because it had all ready been assigned to the first contractor who was still not answering their phone. Absolutely horrible to get a hold of product replacement Called 1-800-326-6710 option. For different times minum Waite was 47 minute to a max of 1:15 and nobody ever answered When calling 1-866-282- 3873 Customer would let me talk to anyone and said supervisor wasn't available

Defrauded out of my service charge. My water main burst 2 days before Thanksgiving 2017. A friend told me the repair probably would not be covered so call my home warranty company prior to any service calls to verify coverage. I pulled out my contract and skimmed through it trying to find any specific exclusions for location of plumbing leaks. They charge $75 per occurance and if it is a repeat occurance outside of 60 days they charge you again. Additionally they don’t cover many of the items and tasks required to complete the repair. I had a water heater fail and the plumber charged me $375 that wasn’t covered by AHS for pipe modifications. I had a leak in a pipe due to missing parts and AHS won’t cover the repair because it is a result of missing parts. Buyer beware!!

There is a major problem with AHS repeat charging for a single service request and will not fix and keeps requesting even more payments
