FOR A HEAVILY ADVERTISED NATIONAL COMPANY THE AHS SERVICE IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! - Customer service hold times are excessively long; always at least 40 minutes. (Note: hire more CS Reps) - They make no attempt to streamline their process. Every step takes 1-2 weeks. (Note: subcontract more service providers). It takes far too long to get repairs done. Website stinks. They have no email responses to send photos of broken appliances. Estimated wait times can run from 10 minutes to 30 minutes in the "same" message. All "800" numbers go to the same call center or it seems to be that way. Chat capability is intermittent. No always available. We have had an initial dishwasher fix in since 8/16. It is still broken. AHS NEEDS BETTER PHONE SERVICE I HAVE CALLED 5 TIMES SHORTEST TIME ON HOLD 47 MINUTES. THE FIRST REPAIR THE COMPANY THAT CAME OUT DID'NT COMPLETE REPAIRS 2ND TIME THEY CAME OUT THEY DID A PARTIAL REPAIR. THE 3RD TIME THEY SENT A GREAT COMPANY THAT TOOK CARE OF ALL MY NEEDS
The contractor sent by AHS had to come back 4 times before they resolved the issue. When they finally decided to fully replace my faucet it was done with a cheaper brand and materials AHS is terrible when you want to speak with an actual representative. Too much automated call menus, too long on hold, website won’t allow feedback or additional information to be added
Scheduling a company to fix a problem is excellent. I have had issues with the knowledge of the workers with that company. Have had multiple callbacks due to problem never being fixed correctly the first time.
If you are thinking of paying for a “home warranty” from AHS, you may want to consider holding onto your money for potential issues rather than give to a company that won’t spend provide services for you. I recently purchased a home on a slab that requires a ejector pump to drain the washing machine. After my first week of occupancy the pump malfunctioned rendering my washer useless. They cover NOTHING! It’s a scam. Plus trying to get anyone on the phone to schedule is a joke! They cancelled my appt for today and thank god the company coming out called me to verify. I about lost it! Then the guy gets here and says it’s probably not covered but someone will call me (I’m still waiting on that call.. been nearly 5hrs!!) I am not happy at all. When can I get a NEW dishwasher??? The repair man has been here 5 times and he is scheduled to come back again to fix it. We will see. Not happy.
We tried calling to give our input first hand, but we were on hold for over an hour so we hung up. Now are resulting to typing the response and we are not happy. Not with this recent service call but with at least two service calls this year. The bath tub kitchen leak challenges took over 5 visit and two different contractors to solve.
