I've constantly had the worst customer service experience with AHS. You have to wait over an hour to speak to customer service. Recently had situation where I paid service fee to vendor who did plumbing repair they were great. AHS continued to bill for service fee even after acknowledging fee was paid at time of service. It took 4 phone calls each time on hold for at least an hour.

I'd give it more stars except for customer service and lack of phone operators. I have to wait at least an hour before getting a human on the phone each time I call about a service request. It's been this way since the summer of 2017. Over the summer they claimed the waiting was because of all the air conditioners that went out and emergency service calls. But what's their excuse now? Normally AHS has been great to work with. Never had any issues until this last claim. What a horrible experience. 30+ wait times to speak with anyone every time I called (5 times). Promised a call back that never happened. Given the runaround by multiple agents. One person said the issue would be covered. The next said it would not be. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was told, “this is the escalation line and there is no one else you can speak with”. Wow. Where do I Start? In the last 3 weeks I've made service calls for my DW, oven, under counter light and heating system. #1.) Only the heating system was serviced in the contracted time frame. I was told it was fixed (repair was explained), however it was not. I set up another service call which wasn't delivered timely, but it was during Thanksgiving weekend thus was understandable. My first experience with this company and will be the last after they fix my heat hopefully before i freeze to death. 1. Impossible to reach over the phone. 2. The contractor they assigned to fix my heat never answered my calls and his "voice mail is filled" 3. I lost my heat in below freezing conditions. No urgency on their behalf. 4. I have to wait 24 hrs in the extreme called for the contractor to setup an appointment. 4.This is not worth your money at all. I am cancelling.

Our last service call was a nightmare, to say the least. We found a leak under the sink in the master bedroom, did the online service request on Dec. 2, 2017, which was a Saturday, no response, called on Sunday and we were told it would take 24 hours for a response, the leaks had gotten worse and we weren't provided any solutions, other than waiting the allotted time. Companies they hired for hvac plumbing are a joke no shows, complained directly to us about even using AHS about not paying for their service, hvac guy finally shows up after second request for service with NO TOOLS!!! still charges us 75.00 for service did absolutely nothing. Plumber never showed. Waters electric shows up does work but we had a callback issue were we were no suppose to be charged and we were. Very disappointed with service. Four year subscriber here. A covered item is being denied after 3 American Home Shield contractors have inspected it and turned in claims. The last one was told by AHS that he was too expensive. I have called nearly everyday for 6 weeks and been on hold for 30 minutes to over an hour every time. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I'VE EVER SEEN.
