I have a GE washer and I’ve been trying to get it fixed since December 27/2017 and now it’s January 25th/2018 and it’s still not working properly.there has been three different service technicians to work on it but not fixed yet. Parts have been and sent to my home address but what was received was incorrect to replace the bad part.The time wasted getting American Home shield to launch another work order and time wasted to schedule my life around a service technician four hour window is just way beyond acceptable.

I would not advise anyone to get AHS. I have had problems with my Washing Machine since December 2, 2018. The machine has been tearing out clothes and we keep getting the drain code, The tech that came out after about a week and thought he fixed it which was not the case. After he came out it began leaking onto my floor. They came out again and thought it was the seal, it took 2 weeks to get the part. When they replaced it they never ran the washer. The wait time on hold was extremely long. One time was longer than 2 hours. When I spoke to a person, the service was exceptional.

Very difficult to reach a company representative & I think 2-3 weeks are too long to wait for the needed repair to my washing machine. Service? Poor.

We have had American Home Shield for about 20 years on this home. Our dishwasher went out a few months ago. Still no replacement installed yet. AHS is claiming that building codes had changed over the years and to replace the dishwasher will require a modification to our home to facilitate the new dishwasher. WHAT A SCAM! Of course building codes have changed! We have been paying for AHS for nearly 20 years. Our new dishwasher is still in the box, sitting in my living room.

Always some excuse why the item isn’t covered. I had to replace the AC myself as they just kept doing a bodge job and charging me $1200 for freon . Now my pool pump isn’t covered even though I’ve paid extra to cover it for 8 years. Worked out I would have saved a lot of money if I just had the repairs done myself. In 8 years they have replaced nothing. Don’t go with this company.

Almost impossible to get human being on telephone. If you have to, might be best to try calling in the middle of the night. Once you get a person on the phone, they're great, but is major issue getting to that point. Have been with them since 1996, this is the first year it's been an issue, but it's been bad enough to consider cancelling service.

I’m appalled that I have been a customer of AHS for years and I can’t get anyone to call me back concerning not raising my monthly rates on the 4 properties I have and pay for each month. The customer service is not good as far as you have to hold on for 30 plus minutes when you call to get the vendor you want

Contacting customer service is the worst with AmericanHome Shield. I am always on hold for a long period of time and end up gettingtransferred around. Often times my issues are not resolved and I am forced to call back again.
