Expect to wait 30 to 1hr 20 minutes before talking to anyone. I called to have my dishwasher repaired. Paid my $100 and when someone came out they said they could not find a problem. He cleaned it and said try again. We did and it was still broken. Next time he still could not find the problem so he ordered a new mother board. Good service for 3 years. Beginning in 2017, wait times calling customer service have been disgraceful...30" and beyond. I stayed on the line until I had to do something important, like breathe. Made contact once to recommend a service company in my area. Customer service woman I spoke with after waiting for 30" told me they were understaffed and that long wait times were the norm. I have had a contract with AHS since June 2015 after I bought my house. I had been satisfied with the service up until this summer when my AC system broke for the 3rd year in a row and they were not a great partner in getting my issues resolved. I ended up getting a cash out option that only covered some of the parts needed to make the repair. Have spoken with several people about it and they offer no recourse. The AHS is one of the worst companies I have ever business with. It is difficult to get service when you need it in your home. The Customer Service is not responsive. When you try to call the AHS, waiting time is more than 1 hour. It is very difficult to even to cancel contract with the AHS. I am going to file a formal complain to BBB.
The biggest thing I have problem with is time you have to wait to talk to anyone about your problem. Even the repair people have the same problem. WHY????
Sent in a request for hood repair on 12/12/2017 and as of 12/27/17 still have not had a contractor assigned to fix my problem. When I called I stayed on hold for 45 minutes and all she said was they were working on it. This is the second time I had this problem, I have only used them twice, so I do not recommend them at all. Their service is not user friendly. They push you to buy the plan then it is nearly impossible to talk to anyone once you pay for it.
NEVER USE AHS!! Once again, I have to pull up my contract & read to them the clause that shows I am covered! Every time I use AHS it is a fight to get them to cover what the contract says they should cover. I have multiple contracts and I have many properties. I have two other home warranty companies Choice Home Warranty and America's 1st Choice Home Warranty and I never have this problem with either of these companies. Twice in 3 months (or less) I had my microwave fixed and the third time I had it replaced. So I spent $250.00 for nothing. The first repairman said I should just replace the unit. What good is the insurance when you continue to fix something the repairman feels should be replaced?
I would rather burn down my house and jump off a bridge than try to deal with AHS again in a professional manner. Given 1 star because 0 was not an option.
