While AHS is a great homeowner warranty company, I believe that they need to do a little more "vetting" of their contractors: AirTech (Airconditioning). The crew was great and completed the work as appropriate, but their office manager, I believe her name is Ashley is so rude to customers. I requested a detailed breakdown of my Airconditioner repair and she gave me such a hard time speaking all over me and not hearing out my request. I reported it to AHS and apparently they contacted Airtech. She sent my invoice via fax but ... read more

Worst company to deal with an hour on hold all the time, just a waste of time from start to finish. The quality of professionals that are assigned to projects are well below average, most have horrible reviews. I would never choose to do any type of business with this company.

I am highly disappointed with my service through American Home Shield. I was reassured when I signed up that I could cancel at any time without penalty. Today, I decided to cancel due to the age of my house and that nothing seems to be able to be fixed because it lack maintenance. I was told I would have to pay an administrative fee for canceling. This is completely against what was advertised to me. When I asked to talk to someone else, the rep refused and said no one else would answer the call. He told me that a manager wo... read more

The worst company I ever dealt with. It's now 2 and a half weeks since my furnace stopped working. They sent out a contractor 2 weeks ago, to investigate. He said he has to contact America Home Shield which he never did. After many days and hours trying to get thru to AHS all I get is a run around. If "my call is very important to them" why isn't my furnace fixed???

My washer broke in Nov and it took about 6 weeks to have it repaired. The company who did the repair left a big mess in my laundry room. They threw some black stuff from the hose in my “clean” trash can and in my laundry tub. I had to soak the can and my laundry tub and then scrub with an abrasive soap to remove what I could. It stained the tub and trash can. Also, they left a lot of rancid water under my washer that apparently spilled all over my floor. They told me it would have to just evaporate over time. My laundry room... read more

They deal with lousy companies and their follow up is bad. Waiting on the phone for 30 to 40 minutes is common.

It’s a very good warranty. Web/Mobile sites work very well when service is needed. Contractors offer prompt follow up and professi Neal service. I would give all this 4 Stars. However, contacting AHS is horrible. Only way to make contact is via phone and there are minimum 45 minute hold times! I stress minimum and at one point, it was 1 1/2 hours. There is no web contact. This needs serious improvement.

I had a plumbing problem that I thought was covered by my contract with American Home Shield. I have been paying a monthly fee for coverage that I really don't have. Even tho according to what they say With American Home Shield, you pay a Trade Service call fee for a professional to help you with your problem, then fix or replace it. This is far from the truth , they refused to authorize the plumber to fix my problem because it was not installed right to begin with, before I bought the property. On top of this months monthly... read more
