You may want to consider these things before you choose a warranty company. I am am homeowner working with AHS has been a nightmare to say the least. I'm not a super sensitive consumer and rarely write reviews but I had to in this case. It all started this summer when my AC when out. It's impossible to get to a car. Phone hold times are ridiculous. They got rid of their chat support. They don't hold up to their cash out promise. I had bought a new fan because mine fell off my ceiling and when the guys came to fix it they called AHS and they said if I pay the guy cash then AHS will reimburse me. We are canceling this coverage!!! Waste of money still waiting for refund of 100.00$ for alittle over a month because you guys came out for the same reason for our air conditioner! I have been trying to contact America Home Shield concerning my Whirlpool Microwave since 9/8/2017. The contractor came out and checked it out.Later I found out the company no longer have the part to repair the Microwave from AHS. I have been trying to contact AHS to try and get this matter solved but I am always put on hold for 1 hour or longer> I would appreciate if some one would contact me to solve this matter. Such a sloppy company when it comes to service. The wait times are ridiculous and the service is subpar. If you are elderly and or not comfortable with technology pick another company. You want be able to access a live person and will be stuck using online servicing. The day I canceled my account was the best experience I had with AHS.
I had a claim from June 9 to Sept 12 for Central AC. They approved to replace, install dropped off unit and did a no call no show for 2 weeks! AHS did not sympathize with me. I could not escalate the issue no one return calls as promised except I customer service rep and after many complaints they did not approve $1200! And want me to pay $1200 for an install in Sept. I do not recommend this warranty company. I had them for 5 yrs and when I had something needing replace this is the service I received
First, let me start by saying I've had AHS for over 25 years and up until the last five years have been very pleased with their services. Now it seems that things that weren't covered when I initially enrolled are add-ons for an additional cost. This no longer works for me since I am now on a fixed income.
I was disappointed that AMS would not cover the replacement of the sheet rock that was removed to repair the leak in the wall.
I had this company for 5 years they my 5 th year I had trouble with my dishwasher they told me that I need to buy one with three wash heads it was old and they wasn’t replacing it oh well I will never use the s company again they waste my time again with my ice maker they’re too many good companies out there . That was 5 years waste
