I've been with AHS for at least 18 years and I’ve had good experiences. I've submitted claims for my stove, microwave, refrigerator, and things like that and the process was on time. It's been excellent with their contractors, although sometimes, they’d be so busy and nobody would come. Like if I call today, they would not here tomorrow. My dishwasher was backing up. The guy from Heros Plumbing came out twice. He was really good, very respectful, and he knew his stuff. I just think that American Home Shield takes really long to come out like the day with the water heater. I was going to my daughter's house to shower ‘cause it took a week before they were able to come out. Active Air Heating and Cooling was able to totally restore my unit. They are two hours of traffic away from where I live. Though it took almost three days, they stuck with it in the desert. Overall, I've gotten excellent service from AHS. Having their coverage has been beneficial as we are seniors and there are a lot of things that my husband can't do. There was also a time when we had a faucet leaking outside and their contractors came and fixed that as well as the pipe under it.
American Home Shield has been very good so far. I'm a customer and I'm still using the service. It's been working out well. My garage door sensor was no longer working. I called in and opened the claim. Morrissey came out once scheduled, fixed the sensor and then had to order a part for the opener as well. When the part came in after being ordered, he came out, installed the part and everything was great.
I submitted the claim online for an AC unit and then right away, they sent the technician's info. The process was pretty straightforward. I wasn't home when the tech came but my wife was there and she said the tech explained everything pretty good and what was wrong with it and what we needed to do. After he fixed the AC, everything has been working fine. AHS is a good company. The prices are good.
The pump to our well stopped working. It was clogged and corroded. My husband and I were leaving for the weekend so I was super worried about my kids being at home by themselves without any access to water. The repair company got everything done super timely and did a fantastic job. They were so kind and awesome.
The techs were able to repair the garbage disposal. It was great. I'm very satisfied.
American Home Shield had very good reps. I made a claim for my microwave and had no problem submitting it. But it seemed like the technician that came wasn't really sure of what he was doing. The repair hasn't been completed. And because I hadn't heard anything, I called American Home Shield yesterday and they had just a recording. But this claim aside, I would recommend the home warranty highly. They are pretty prompt. When I call, they are very friendly and they get the job done.
Submitting a claim online for a water heater replacement was really easy with American Home Shield. The contractor was very professional. He showed up on time and did a physical survey. He then said what was needed, stated the price, and set an appointment. The techs were personable young guys and were very timely. They did a great job. Everything is working as expected. This warranty is worth the money for those who have homes with appliances and heating and cooling systems.
