My husband and I are happy with American Home Shield (AHS). We find it to be well worth the cost. As we had a washer that broke down this year, the plan has already paid for itself. Once we called AHS, we got an appointment with a repair company within a few days. Shortly after the company diagnosed the problem, we were sent a list of several models of quality washing machines that we could choose from to replace our existing machine. I am very happy with the service I have received from my American Home Shield policy. They replaced my microwave, repaired my ice maker and are replacing my dishwasher. All service men were very professional and knowledgeable!

The technicians you sent have been great. My concerns comes from the coverage, which, I feel is misleading. Electrical may not cover ALL electrical, and septic system does not cover ALL septic components. When you figure in the cost for each service call and monthly premium I'm not sure this is cost effective.
