My dryer wasn't working and I tried to file a claim through AHS's automated system but it kept repeating the same thing saying the phone number did not work. But once I got to a rep, it was much easier. They sent me the info of the contractor and I called right away because I wanted to make sure they can come out right away. The place was perfect. They said they'd be out Monday morning and they were here first thing. They were quick and perfect to work with. They were able to repair the dryer on the same day and it's been pe... read more

Whenever I turn the range burner on, it just kept clicking. The contractor thought that the item was defective. It turned out the thing just needed to be cleaned. So, they did that the next time out. American Home Shield's contractors were all good. We just had moved into the house and we had three different issues. The contractors who came were professional and did the work fine. The thing that we find the most frustrating with American Home Shield is being on hold forever on the phone. There's been quite a lengthy time.

American Home Shield does a good job. They contact somebody pretty quickly. I called one day and the next day, somebody was out there. It went good with Millennial HVAC. The AC wasn't cooling and the guy that came out was a fantastic guy. He did a good job and had a good personality.

I put in a claim with AHS regarding the AC on Saturday night. The contractor called me to schedule it on Monday and then came out Tuesday. He thought that there's a leak. He put in four pounds of coolant and he put in the dye. Then he's gonna come back and check in the evening to see if there's a leak. He was gonna come back Friday was the arrangement. ‘Cause I've got his number. I texted him on Saturday, “Can you let me know what's going on?” But he had a family emergency and had to go to California. He had just told me, “A... read more

It's easy if I do the claim from the website. It is awful if I try to do it over the phone because of hold times between 25 and 45 minutes. But Home Shield has been easy to work with. When GE came out, they were awesome. The problem was some cleaners that the previous homeowners had used that had caused a problem with the seal. The gentleman that came out was great. He was able to clean all that up. While he was here, he cleaned out the filter on the dishwasher too so that everything was gonna run well after he left. We were... read more

Atchley Air was really good. I had called American Home Shield to put in a claim and then literally, the next call I had was from them. Coordinating a time to come was good. Luckily, I had smelt the gas leak. and they pretty much knew what the problem was. I was really happy that it was prompt. But it took a little bit longer to get the part, but they were able to finish it the same day and I was thankful for that. The smell was coming from the furnace before it's the furnace season, and it wouldn't have been maybe so fast. It was freezing on the top of the refrigerator, but it wasn't cooling at the bottom, I lost some food because the area for milk, juice, eggs, butter and those things in the middle stopped cooling. I called Home Shield and brought my account up to date, and I also asked to be transferred to a hardship line, which Home Shield did have because I spoke to someone on my situation financially. It was a one- time waive. The person I spoke with said they would do a one-time waive for my initial service fee. I didn't have the money b... read more

The first time we made a claim with AHS was for the dishwasher and it was great. All I had to do was get online, submit my claim, and they called me the next day. The contractor came out and the tech was very professional and very timely. He kept me informed about the parts that he had to order and when they would be in. I had the dishwasher fixed within a week and it's been running like brand-new. It's worth the monthly deductible fee to be able to get your stuff fixed instead of having to replace it all the time.

I had a fire inside the range. Then the heating element on top was also having an issue. We called American Home Shield to submit a claim. The contractor couldn't replace the lamp and also, the replacement parts were not available for the range. American Home Shield had told the contractor that they would replace the range. I didn't have to wait too long for American Home Shield to get back to me after he had submitted his recommendation. I just used my microwave until they determined what they were gonna do.
