My air conditioner was freezing up. I called AHS and they sent me a text message that Comfort Tech was gonna go fix it. Then they came out the next day and fixed it. They did a good job. The air conditioning is working fine so it’s comfortable in there.

The only claim I've submitted was a leak from a dishwasher. I went on the website and scheduled the repair. However, it took a week to get somebody out here. But last time they came out, they checked the dishwasher and ran it and it wasn’t leaking. I wasn't excited about having to pay the deductible and not having anything wrong, but that was just the way it happened. Overall, American Home Shield was great, very prompt, and quick. It went the way it should have.

Our Realtor gave us a few different options to look at, and we went and looked at Better Business Bureau and Google reviews. Home Shield had the best reviews, especially on Better Business Bureau. That was what made us choose them. My husband submitted the claim. And then, when Realty Rekey came out, he was there. Everything went good. He didn't complain or say anything bad. Him and the guy had cars in common, so they talked about cars while the guy rekeyed.

I kind of had an instinctual trust in American Home Shield. I went with them and I have recommended them to my friends and family as well. Doing claims only has been easy. Advanced Plumbing came out for an issue that I had, and their representative was very kind and professional. He solved my problem and he intimated that there was an issue about the way the setup was prior to my purchasing the property. The way the plumbing came into the house needed to be changed. He said it was about a $600 job, but it wasn’t covered unde... read more

There was a leak in the sink that I couldn't stop and the man who came out was polite and wonderful. They did an emergency thing. He was here within 45 minutes and did a terrific job. At a time when I was afraid to have anyone in the house, he wore a mask. I've had experiences with American Home Shield where the people weren't like that. This particular instance was much better than anything in the past. I was more than happy.

We had a plumbing issue in the shower in our master bathroom. There was some knocking and groaning in the pipes in the wall. We opened the claim through American Home Shield and the guy from Brick Street Plumbing came out and fixed it. It got a lot better. He did a great job, was prompt and seemed to address the issue. But there may be another underlying issue that he wasn't aware of that we may have to try to address again. My wife let me know yesterday that it might still be knocking some more but I've got to investigate t... read more

We had some minor plumbing issues. One of our toilets was running and we had a leak in a pipe to one of our tubs. We also had an issue with one of the handles in the kids' bathroom. It was loose and we didn't want it to get the other one did up in the kids’ room where the tub was. I went on the website and it said “request service”. I filled it out and then it gave me PHD Mechanical as the plumber. The plumber happened to be in the area. So they wound up coming within two hours of when I sent the email. They also called on t... read more

I'm happy with American Home Shield. It's been good. I had a pool pump go out that they covered and replaced it. I've also had AC problems a couple of times that they've sent people out and took care of it. Recently, AAA came out quickly the next day after I put in a claim. They diagnosed the problem and had to order a part. It came in two days and they guy was able to come back as soon as the part came in and install it.

I had a vent that wasn't working. I paid 80 bucks to American Home Shield and submitted a claim. They then sent someone out to help me. The people who came out were inexperienced with the type of work that needed to be done though. They crawled under the vent and figured out that there wasn't any air coming out as well as probable reasons for the vent not working. They submitted those reasons back to American Home Shield who then approved the fix. They came back a week later and installed the new duct that was collapsed unde... read more
