We have been very pleased with AHS, we've used them w/our primary residence and our rental house for 15 + years :) We recently had an the control panel of our oven go out, there was no part available so AHS went out their way to get the part repaired, saving us 1000's of dollars. Thank you AHS!
I've used the website a million times and it's great. You just select the problem and hit submit, American Home Shield assigns the vendor and the vendor comes to fix the issue. Recently, Wright Appliance Service & Repair came to replace the heating element in my dryer. They were good.
NW Sundance Services serviced the furnace and everything went fine. The only thing was the person gave us the wrong size of filter to get. I went out and bought the wrong size of filter and ended up having to find like a specialized one. But that's fine. He did a good job. He had a mask and kept his distance. He was respectful of all the precautions. That's the only thing we have used American Home Shield for. We had had American Home Shield back in 2009 and probably kept renewing for two or three years. At this point, we can absorb the cost, which was why we picked them again when we bought this house. When submitting claims, just going online and clicking buttons is super easy. Water Solutions came out for a plumbing issue and the technician was super friendly and easy to talk to. At certain times of the day, the temperature gauge would go up higher than what I had the thermostat set at. AHS sent someone out. The contractor had to come out twice and it seemed to be fixed. Then about a month or so later, it happened again. AHS sent another company out. That company determined that the coils were dirty. They took pictures and got the okay to do it, took care of it, and did a tremendous job. Everything was clean, but I was still having the same problem with the temperature gauge. Statesboro Appliance came out to fix the dryer and washer. They were right in, right out. It was just like a little broken seal and they replaced that. They were super friendly. The appliance is right back to where it was. It’s been great.
I did a claim for an AC that wasn't cooling and the process was very easy. It was a seamless request to repair. The contractor was very communicative and very informative. They're definitely a good pick on American Home Shield's part.
There were two different technicians but they both did a fine job. One was for the outside AC condenser fan that went bad. It was making a big squealing noise where the bearings wrapped. They came out here and fixed that. They took care of it in a timely manner. The other was for the air conditioner blower fan that wasn't working. The guy came out here and there was a piece of foam in the blower cage that was keeping the fan from turning. We couldn't figure out where it came from. Summer Breeze did a good job. They came in, saw the problem, got the part ordered and within two weeks, had my repair done. Before that, it was with Eagle. The guy told the company that he had it repaired. There was a part needed but he did not wanna come out and repair it. I went a total of six weeks without an air conditioning or heat. Once I finally realize that the guy from Eagle was not gonna come back out, I contacted American Home Shield.
