American Home Shield is an excellent company. I had another company that I had called out for my garbage disposal and they kept telling me why would I wanna switch my garbage disposal when it's high quality. They gave me all the excuses in the world. I watched the commercial a billion times before I decided I was gonna switch over to American Home Shield. I feel that because of the cost of appliances today, every home should have an home warranty plan. I have been with American Home Shield for a number of years and I highly recommend them. Over the years they've either solved my repair problems, or replaced them with no problems.
The washer was not draining all the way. Also, it had a real bad mildew smell in it and the rubber ring on the outside of it was all moldy. I called Home Shield and they told me that someone would be in touch with me within 48 hours, which is what happened. Scott’s Appliance Service came out and the tech took care of all the issues with the washer. He was very knowledgeable and he gave me some tips on how to get a good use of the washer. He told me some things I never knew. The service was excellent.
We had a backup and then there was water. I called American Home Shield and put in a claim. I was told that the claim would be put in and that AJ Plumbing Services would be able to come. I needed them right away to clear the water. I have that problem occasionally. They've been here before. They're very professional. They did a nice job and I was satisfied with them. I called American Home Shield and canceled my appointment with Myers before I had gotten an appointment. It must have been the thermostat that was the issue because I saw the light blinking. The thermostat had gone down, and I called and told them that I didn't need anybody to come out anymore. The next morning, it had fixed itself. American Home Shield is a good thing to have. I hadn’t ever had any trouble with them. When I've called, I've gotten someone to take care of my request right away.
We had some slow drains that Jaymar Plumbing came and fixed. The service was good. I went online to submit the claim to American Home Shield. Their website was good.
I've been using American Home Shield for years and they've been great. Any time I needed any repairs done, they usually took care of it right away. It's pretty easy to do a claim. You do it online and it takes not even a couple minutes. They automatically assign a contractor and they give you the contractor's information. Usually, a contractor reaches out or you can reach out to the contractor. They usually get you scheduled in pretty fast. Submitting claims with American Home Shield is good. I had one with an electric water heater and one with the ice maker. The tech didn’t get the ice maker fixed the first trip. He ordered a part and then he came out and fixed it. He stayed in contact. The water heater has to be replaced.
My dishwasher just went dead. The tech from company that came out to repair the dishwasher was a great individual and was very informative. He told me that the computer and the parts that were needed were done with, and he advised me that there's a likely chance that the parts that needed to be replaced will be replaced or the whole dishwasher would just be replaced.
