Dawson Services did a preseason heating checkup. They let me know when they were coming, when they were on the way, and when they were here. Everything went smoothly. I got a service for my refrigerator. It wasn't cooling and the temperature wasn't working right. The contractor, Sears, came out three times. They put in a new board and it didn't work. I put in a request on a Saturday with American Home Shield because my air conditioner was not working. The contractor called me on Sunday to book the appointment and they came to see me on Monday. He called me that day too to let me know what time he was going to be here. The tech was so nice and he explained everything to my husband. He was nice and excellent. Every time the washing machine would spin, it would get louder and louder. So, the bearing wore away. The contractor came out and tried to change the bearing but it was more than that. They had to change the whole drum. So, it took a little while for the parts to come in but they were excellent. They came in and did it all in one day. Kelly Brothers came a few days after I submitted the claim to American Home Shield. The technician was quick and fixed all the issues I had. One of the breakers needed to be replaced and then an outlet had to be replaced too. He wore a mask on when he came. I’ve had AHS since 2018 when I moved here. When something goes out, I can get ahold of them, put a request in and they have somebody here quickly. The contractors have been good and professional. The electrician came and nothing happened because he couldn't find the transformer box for my bell. So, I got no bell and I still had to pay the $75. So, I was annoyed. But that was the only incident and I like American Home Shield so far. The experience has been good other than this one.
The contractor came and replaced the garbage disposal. It works and it doesn’t leak. Dealing with the contractor was good. This was my first claim with American Home Shield and they were nice enough to give me two service calls for it. So, I have nothing to complain about.
American Home Shield has been a lifesaver because we had a lot of issues with our home when we moved in. It was our Realtor that recommended the home warranty and I couldn’t be happier. We’ve had a lot of calls for appliances, plumbing, and electrical issues. It would have been more stressful without the home warranty.They sent out J.E.T. Mobile Engineering for our AC unit. When submitting claims, I can just do it on my phone online and click a button to request it. The customer service reps were helpful and it was easy to request a service. There can just be delays with the scheduling for the actual vendor they're connecting me with. On a recent service call, they actually nixed because I ended up realizing it wasn't covered with my warranty. It was more than a day, and the vendor they connected me with hadn't even reached out to schedule. That would be my only gripe with them. I'd be concerne... read more
The guy was great. He was very polite. Each time he came, he always asked, “How are you doing?” I had one come in who didn’t say good morning, nothing. He just came in and had a real bad attitude. I had to call American Home Shield to get them to come back out but he didn't wanna come back out. He told me he was gonna be here and it was going on almost four o'clock. He left parts in the oven.
