The contractor came out and fixed the plumbing, the faucets that are outside and the dishwasher. Everything was professional and good. They were clean, had their mask on, and told me exactly what they were gonna do. Now, my plumbing is working, which is better than before 'cause it wasn't working at first. I was pleased with everything. People definitely need to get American Home Shield 'cause they'll come out and fix the problem as soon as possible with no problems at all. It's best to have it when you need it.
The air condition was not working. The contractor came, found the problem quickly and fixed it. Since the repair, the AC is how it's supposed to be. Anytime I called American Home Shield, the contractor came on time and fixed the issue. So far, AHS have been good.
American Home Shield is a good service. I like it. I put in claims for the ceiling fan, the microwave, the dryer and the doorbell. I went online then I clicked everything that applied to what I needed done. The person in the office called, confirmed, and told me when they were coming out. Then they texted me, called me and let me know before they came out. I did an AC claim and it was a lot easier when I did it online than when I do it in person. In person, the hold is impeccably long, and a lot of times, the person I'm talking to is not knowledgeable about what I'm talking about. But doing it online, I was able to get better and quicker response. The tech who came out was awesome. He was extremely personable and very friendly. The claim went quickly. The guy was great about getting right back to me and telling me what was going on. He went in, took care of the issue, and reported back to me that everything's fine. He did his job. American Home Shield is great. It's been a lifesaver. I just wish they keep the same contract number every time I renew. When I call in and they wanna know the contract number, and I don't know what it is because it's renewed every time. You pay the bill and renew, and it changes. My claim was handled well. The hold time to connect to a representative was over two hours though. I thought it was a joke when my sister told me that she held that long, but when I had to do it, it was lengthy. American Home Shield is gonna have to get some more customer service to answer the phone ‘cause I never have held that long to have service with them. American Home Shield is a quality company. I chose them because of their reputation. It has outstanding service as far as I can see at this time. When we first moved into our house, it came with AHS. Our water heater went out and they did a really good job back then. That was eight years ago. I had them for a while a few years back and then let it lapsed. Then we just got it again this year. My recent claim with AHS went well. The water was not coming out of the sink good, in my master bath. The cold handle froze up too. It wasn't something that could be fixed. The contractors tried, but they couldn’t get it freed up. So, they replaced that. Then, my shower, what's inside the wall that let out a certain amount of cold and hot was malfunctioning. The claims with AHS are very easy to get going. But getting ahold of somebody is a whole different story. I can submit a claim online pretty easily but if I call because I have a question, I might as well expect to wait at least 50 minutes on the line. That's normal and that's one of the biggest problems. When I ask them why I'm waiting online so long, I'm always told that they don't have as many people working now because of COVID.
