I honestly didn't think that I would be needing a vet anytime soon, but after a 5 -month old Lab mix puppy with an injured rear paw came wandering into my garage a couple of weeks ago that all changed. I wish I could give this clinic 10 stars! They are wonderful! A friend of mine recommended this clinic after taking her 2 adorable pugs for vaccinations. I was looking to neuter my dog (poor thing) at a reasonable price and ACFB only charged $70 for the operation and $40 for the drugs. They also gave him other shots, a heart-worm exam AND a 12 month supply of heartguard for $158 TOTAL! Avoid at all costs for exotic pets that need specialized care. I found this place on a (probably outdated) rabbit.org list and wish I had looked elsewhere. The 'exotic vet' and vet tech did not seem as though they had ever handled or even seen a rabbit before. The vet tech was allergic to rabbits, in fact! I was charged $65 for a pre-spay "exam" where they tried and failed to take her weight (they didn't know how to pick her up), and the vet told me he couldn't get a read on her heart rate because it was high (which is what ... read more

We have been with Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch for 20 years. We have had two Boxers go to this animal clinic Jazzy (7 years) and Jesse (13 1/2 years). My family is aware of the boxer breed and know they are prone to get tumors/mass. We consulted with Dr. Ryland on June 16th about removing a mass on Jesse's right back leg (hip area). We schedule surgery on Wednesday, June 21st. Dr. Ryland performed the surgery and removed the mass along with a little bit of muscle. The incision was 7 inches long. The mass weighed 1... read more

My dog was 14 years old and had a stroke. The lady dr. There looked at her, did some tests and said she was fine, to take her back home. My dog didn't know who I was and wouldn't quit whimpering and screeching. When dr. Miller was there, this place was good. They are not now and should be shut down. They are irresponsible in their care and I was insanely furious that a 14 yr old dog was released back to me and said she would be "fine". I'm having to make crucial decisions and possibly end of life decisions for my pet. The vet suggested for me to bring my pet in by telling the receptionist that it was suggested by the vet and that it was urgent. The receptionist refused to schedule a time because she stated that they were fully booked. Then magically after I called back, they suggested for me to drop my pet off and they'd squeeze diagnostics in between someone else's appointment. The rudest receptionists you will ever talk to. When you call to make an appointment they put you on hold for five minutes you are waiting then it goes to voicemail. You never receive a phone call back or they will pick up and and end the call immediately. Before they moved into the new building they all were kind compassionate to the guests and animals. Now since they have moved it just seems like they are aiming for money than the care of the animals. I recommend to go find a vet who cares for his animals and guests. It i... read more

I honestly I'm extremely dissatisfied with this clinic. I have been going here for like 10 years and they used to be walk in only which was much faster. But I think as they got bigger and had more patients they couldn't keep up. Every time I come here, even though I make an appointment, I'm never even checked in until at least 30 minutes after my scheduled time. And I'm Never here for less than 1.5 hours and have been here for as long as 3 HOURS for simple things. They're just very unorganized, and I understand they have a l... read more

Hey Carol, I completely agree with you. Things are taking longer than needed some days. And yes we have to do curbside bc many of our doctors are considered high risk, and without them we can't stay open at all. I really hope that you will reach out to me, the manager, and we can talk about how to make things better. The clients point of view is our biggest resource in trying to improve what we are doing.
