Roofers were to replace our roof and skylight but leave roof on a bay window alone since that was relatively new. They accidentally ripped off the bay window roof anyway and rather than replacing the whole thing, they left it half new and half old (two different colors). They left tons of nails around the house and on our deck which of course I stepped on twice!! The work above our porch was really sloppy which they did admit and fix. Wanted to have roof repaired. They initially came out and said they couldn't do the work as "advertised" on Angie's list and said they'd send another estimator out to provide estimate for doing the work that was needed and I agreed would repair the area in need of fixing. New estimator came out and from there, never heard back from these people after several attempts at calling and emailing them. Wouldn't touch them with a "10 foot pole". We waited a long time for the service to be performed. They were not forth coming with whether or not we needed to supply the shingles. They were not helpful with technical information about roofing lingo, ie: shingle sheet vs shingle tab and therefore we ended up paying many times more than the original offer. A word of advice to homeowners: what you think of as a "shingle" - what you buy as a sheet - actually is a series of "tabs" that can be individually priced for application to your roof. Spoke with a rep from Arocon and she said the service purchased does not cover townhouses. However-the deal sold does not have townhouses as an exclusion. She curtly said that I'd need to get my refund from you (Angies List). I would like to have the work performed and will re-evaluate the earned grade after work is completed. roofing tuneup

The home does not qualify for a roofing tune up do to the height of the house, not due to it being a town home. Our height restriction is listed under the fine print of the deal, and also discussed over the phone with each customer. In order to get a refund for the deal you would need to contact Angie's List.
It went very well. Aroncon came twice in December after we purchased an Angie's List coupon. However, on both occasions, the cold weather and freezing conditions did not allow the service to be completed. As was agreed, I contacted Aroncon this spring to finish the service, which just occurred. The inspection revealed a few issues that we corrected. They decided not to do the work because per person all the shingles were "incorrectly" placed on the roof. We had the same company do a similar job last year and the person didn't have the issue or mentioned this. Never mind that we bought the house recently, went through the inspection and received an overall estimate for the entire roof and no one brought the issue with "incorrect" placement. Needed the 3 shingles nailed that fell.

Our technician did inspect the roof, and per his professional opinion, he noted that the roof was improperly installed. Due to the the severity of the issues with the roof, correcting one problem area could have caused another issue. Our previous technician from 2015 also noted several issues with the roof, as documented through his pictures. I did not hire them when I found out that the initial cost of $89.00 would turn into a minimum of $700 if I needed work accomplished. No work accomplished, could not perform what I expected so did not hire them at a good price.

Unfortunately, the repair service the customer wanted to have done was not included in the Gutter Tune Up package. We do have a minimum price for repair services. This customer was directed to go back through Angie's List for a refund since we could not do the repair service he requested for the price of the maintenance package he had purchased.
