If I could give zero stars I would. i got an email asking how my visit went and I said this: "Made me wait for over an hour all alone in a dental chair. I expressed at least 4 times that I was only there for a standard teeth cleaning. Instead of a teeth cleaning I got a lecture about all the things I have to buy, all the thousand dollar procedures I need, all the misdiagnoses, all the things I'm doing wrong. No one cleaned my teeth and I was like for an hour and a half. So extremely disappointed, frustrated and traumatized.... read more

Here's the big picture: Aspen Dental targets uninsured patients and overcharges them on unnecessary services. This has been my experience. This is the experience of most other reviewers. They were investigated by the Pennsylvania Attorney General for this behavior. They were hit with a class action lawsuit for this behavior. From my experience, nothing has changed. Do not come here. My Fiancé recently had an appointment at Aspen Dental. After a 3 hour long first appointment (x rays), he had to wait an hour and a half between the time the dentist stepped out and then a new one came in due to a "dental emergency". They also tried telling my fiancé about having periodontal disease, which if you look at the google reviews they try to tell everyone. They told him he would need a 2,000$ treatment plan. I normally have a different dentist covered by Oregon Health Plan, but due to the severity of my root pain I needed emergency work done and paid out of pocket for a root canal. My issue with Aspen isn't how much it cost, and my root canal went very well indeed. However, after my root canal was done and I was informed of my temporary filling that would last no longer than a month, I tried to schedule the followup to get a crown put on. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!!! I want to do a follow up of my review from 2019. I woke up this morning with an alert from my credit that it took a dip due to ASPEN DENTAL sending my INITIAL FREE exam to collections. Mind you there was NO BILL NOTICE by MAIL, phone, email from a FREE VISIT from 2019 till I got the credit score alert today. There was NO TREATMENT PERFORMED just the initial FREE EXAM! A new dentist screwed up a filling and made a mess so I needed a root canal before I could get a crown. I called around because the place I went to before was booked and the only open spot was at Aspen Dental. I made the appointment and gave them all of my insurance info. They asked for over $500 up front and any extra would be returned after insurance paid. Have a credit. Won't return my money. I guess my insurance was too confusing so I needed to pay full price up front. Then they would have a credit on my account. After a bad experience on my scheduling of a service I simply asked for my credit. Over a month later. Still waiting. No response or returned messages.

If you need to see a dentist do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. They sell a bill of goods and under deliver. I would never recommend this office to anyone I cared about.

I wanted a dentist as I had moved to Eugene, OR. from out of state. I saw good reviews and made an appt. I'd hoped for a cleaning after the exam and x-rays that were done. What I got was a scare about the state of my dental hygiene. No teeth cleaning. I was shown their wonderful electric toothbrush for $135.
