I used Montway because of the waiting period through the direct carriers (Reliable, Horseless, Intercity, Passport) was so long at about 6-8 weeks before pickup and I wanted to get a few weeks of driving in before the cold weather and snow hit my area. I shipped a car from the Washington, DC area to Loveland, CO using Montway. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE experience! The carrier Montway engaged was unethical (BMA Logistics Corp.) -- picked up the car, did not give a bill of lading, then let my car sit in Baltimore for a week with NO communication to me. I can’t say I had a great experience with them. I called to ask if they had an update on a driver being assigned to my pickup since it had been four days and they auction started charging me on the 5 day. I understood they worked on a 3-5 day business pickup and I was just concerned as to not be charged by the auction house, which I was on the fifth day. Please please please stay away from Montway! I can not express how stressful it was. But I got quoted $1019 for a 1,212 mile shipping, just like many other shipping sites like Montway they actually don’t ship your cars. They are pretty much contractors who find drivers to deliver it! I’ve actually got quoted for $919 but apparently there system was faulty and gave them a wrong address but on my email it was correct! They tried to sway me to pay $100 more but I gladly declined. Car was picked up about 5 days late and I was no longer living at my old location and they have no way to schedule a drop off which seems to be the standard. They said they were the best at getting pickups and drop offs, this was not the case. Drop off was also 2 days later than the estimate after my car was picked up. First according to their website , After a truck has been assigned/dispatched, we will email you a "dispatch notification" with the estimated pick up/loading date along with the trucker's phone number. I chose Montway to ship my cars given what appeared to be stellar reviews online. My experience was entirely the opposite of what can be considered good service. Background - I’m moving across country for a new job and needed 2 vehicles shipped to my new work location. 7/28/21 - Booked my 2 cars for shipping from NY to CA. Worst Experience ever! Assigned late to a carrier. Had to pay extra for expedited delivery. No support, when carrier changed delivery date 3 times. Car still has not been delivered. Now 8 days late, with no new delivery date.
