Car was picked up about 5 days late and I was no longer living at my old location and they have no way to schedule a drop off which seems to be the standard. They said they were the best at getting pickups and drop offs, this was not the case. Drop off was also 2 days later than the estimate after my car was picked up. Well, I get what I pay for. Shame on me. Going with the MOST TRUSTED. Should have paid a little more to get better service and communication. First according to their website , After a truck has been assigned/dispatched, we will email you a "dispatch notification" with the estimated pick up/loading date along with the trucker's phone number. I chose Montway to ship my cars given what appeared to be stellar reviews online. My experience was entirely the opposite of what can be considered good service. Background - I’m moving across country for a new job and needed 2 vehicles shipped to my new work location. 7/28/21 - Booked my 2 cars for shipping from NY to CA. Worst Experience ever! Assigned late to a carrier. Had to pay extra for expedited delivery. No support, when carrier changed delivery date 3 times. Car still has not been delivered. Now 8 days late, with no new delivery date.
They were able to fix what HaulBikes weren't able to deliver properly. At the last minute, I had to call Montway to ship 2 bikes, and they accommodated that and delivered really fast. I read the review and saw that a lot of 1 and 3 star review were accurate. I have not received my vehicle, they change the date of pickup twice and finally dropped the shipment and was assigned to another transport company . This is now 3 weeks and still no vehicle. I tried to believe the good in everyone first. This company does not have it together. I have missed work, jobs and have needed the vehicle to go back and forth to the dr. Montway Auto Transport does NOT deliver on their word ~ use someone else.
I used them in the past they were very good, this time they failed to deliver on there promise, my car shipment was one week late, cut my vacation short to be home for the Vehicle delivery , disappointing one week late, I have to rent a car .
There are the worst. They messed us my pick up time. They picked the car three times open while I paid for enclosed then they bring it back. Guess what? When I received the car all the lights were on, when I took it to the dealership they asked me if I towed it or transported it recently I said yes, so they told me they damaged one of the wires in the bottom of the car and I have to spend $600 to fix it. Bottom line is that they have terrible service, they will take your money, they will not arrange for your transport until the last minute, they won't provide updates and your car will not get there in the time promised. I paid double after I factored in two weeks of car rentals. It was 3 months from the date I signed the contract until my car arrived in HI from CT. They try to hide behind a contract full of disclaimers and blame the delay on their subcontractors, when in fact, they were fully to blame.
