I did everything by the book and the test results did not get on time for the flight. I had to pay for new tests so it was a complete waste of money!
We needed to schedule the test for a Sunday. There were no options for that day and despite not redeeming the voucher we were unable to receive a refund.
We attempted to use this test kit to travel to Hawaii. Ultimately, we had to get a local rapid test at the last second because of the way the timing worked out. I feel the product page is deceptive. We've requested a refund from Costco accordingly. If you are traveling to Hawaii, you must take the test within 72 hours of when your final flight leg departs. The state of Hawaii requires a negative covid test within 72 hours of arrival. This is not possible with this test because a test kit needs first to be shipped to us, then the test needs to be shipped to the lab in Salt Lake City, Utah, and it takes then several days to get the results, so it would not have been possible to meet the Hawaii requirements. We were misled in believing that this would work. Fortunately, we were able to get a refund from Costco one we explained the situation.
I thought this was an observation test with results in 1-2 hours turns out I had to fed ex to new jersey and results were available 12-72 hours after it arrived. no way to expedite for sure. this was a problem as I was going to Hawaii and results needed to be there by the time I landed and updated to government website.
Travel Hawaii would not accept the test results
This test was advertised as next day turnaround time and able to meet the 72 hour timeline for a negative test to travel to Hawaii. They were not able to meet this timeline committment and the test was useless for me.
If you have any other alternative options, use them. My family had to get tested before we could travel; we needed 6 tickets. UPS only delivered 4 on time. UPS shipped one test to Germany! When I called Costco for a refund they said I had to call Azova. So I did. They said they had to talk to Costco. Eventually, we did get a full refund for the two mid-shipped tests but the stress and worry and cost was not worth it. I would give no stars if i could. I was highly disappointed in this. Family of 12 went to Hawaii 3 test didn’t even come back in time and we had to do it at the airport which cost us an extra $125 each :( called the company while at the airport to see if there was a way to get results in time for the flight but they said they didn’t know and then informed us that 1 of those 3 tests they never even received.
